I don’t need your approval. The everlasting, mindbending, confusion of wondering whether you are pleased or not. I don’t want to be a burden. I want to help, and to give. I don’t want to burden you, I just need your approval.

Suggestion. Suggestions are just a polite form of telling someone what you think they should do. I suggest you do this, I suggest you do that. Let’s quit suggesting. Just say what you need to say. Suggestion.

Bucket. When I was a kid a bucket was as fun as todays ipod. Minus all the technological awesomeness. You can carry all kinds of fun stuff in a bucket, an ipod…not so much. Bucket.

Sigh. Detention, also known as my afternoon activity. I’ve never understood the point of detention: You’ve done something wrong so as punishment you’ll spend an extra hour in the place you go 8 hours out of your day. Clever. Really clever.

Train tracks on a railroad leading to a better life. With the past left behind and regrets lingering, those train tracks are the closest thing to hope. Railroad

Motion. It has been said that objects in motion tend to stay in motion. So why are so many of us stuck? Don’t sit around waiting for the next chapter of you life to begin. Set it in motion, and most likely it will stay in motion. Motion

Chills. I’m beginning to get chills less and less. Not much surprises me, and not much catches me off guard. They say there’s nothing new under the sun and it’s true. But theres a difference between hearing that phrase and actually believeing it. The world is such a redundant place. Chills.

He is a distributor of everything. Love, compassion, loyalty, truth, patience, support, advice and everything good. While I can only distribute my time. And what is that worth without substance?

Soups soothe the soul. People really underestimate and under appreciate soup. When you’re sick and miserable and those over the counter drugs aren’t working. A bowl of soup magically does the trick.

Don’t dwell on the small things. Because then they become big things. And sooner or later those big things become permanent things. And permanent things are hard to undo. So don’t dwell on the small things. Dwell on the happy things. Because then they become great things.

Pits. She had really smelly armpits. And I tried to tell her but she wouldn’t listen. She’s the type that never listens you just can’t tell her things. And it sucks to know that you can’t help her..and her smelly pits.

Pour. I would pour water into the cup and give it to you. And with giving it to you I was giving you more than you thought. In that cup of water I was giving you my heart, my soul, everything I am and all that I do. And you just drank it, and went on your way. pour.

Switch. She switched to a less depressing channel, one where things were harmless. One that wouldn`t remind her that life is hard, or that she was broken. She switched to a channel that would lie to her, even if for only a short while. She switched to a channel that would make the truth seem unimportant, and the comfort of lies seem good.

Romance. Romance is the thin subtle line between friendship and the fires of passion. Romance makes you see someone in a way you never thought was possible.

Shelter. You were shelter when rain was pouring. And now i’m unsure of life before you, it is but a blur. And I wonder if it is healthy to be so intertwined and blended with you. But whether it is or it isn’t, you are my shelter.

Somehow the ‘Word of the day’ is always relevant to how i’m feeling at the moment. Anywho, umbrella. Silence is my umbrella. For someone like me, someone with a terrible stutter, silence is golden. You have so much you want to say and so much that you want someone to know but in the end you’d rather keep quiet and be a mystery than to have someone think you strange. Or to have that awkward moment when the person realizes you stutter and they don’t want to be rude but they don’t know what to say so they just sit there awkwardly and uncomfortably waiting for you to get out what you want to say. The more and more you try to say what you want to say the harder it gets TO say it and you find yourself sinking inside of yourself and wishing you never said anything to begin with. So an umbrella protects me from rain, but it also protects me from that awful feeling when my stutter takes control. Silence is my umbrella. Umbrella

Jeez i ALWAYS go over the one minute mark -___- ahh well

Sinking. I was sinking before. When I dwelled on the fact that I know nothing about nothing, when I was overwhelmingly sad all the time. But then I just didn’t care anymore. And I stopped sinking. Now I kick the thoughts of inadequacy out of my mind and I replace them with hope. A hope that someday things will get better, things will change. A hope that i’ll never ever go back to sinking.

With bad deeds comes punishment. The bible says that you reap what you sow and the world calls it karma. But what do you call punishment without reason/ For some unknown reason you bear the punishment of what you don’t know. What is that all about?

Near. All I think of when i see the word ‘near’ is that I want someoneone to come near to me.

If only we were elastic. We could stretch and bend time. Make the happy moments last longer and decrease the sad moments. If iere elastic I’d stretch my heart to where ever you are just so you could look inside of it and see yourself. Elastic.

Driving. I don’t have my permit, I don’t have my license, and I don’t have a car. But if i did i’d drive like there was no end to anything. No end to the road, no end to the amount of gas in my car, no end to my car in general. I’d play every song that makes me smile and i’d be so at peace that the world would be jealous. For some reason I feel like driving could be the most peaceful thing on earth. Just you alone in your car with your music and your thoughts and for a few hours nothing matters. Nothing is important. Driving.

Thats when it hit me, like a ton of bricks. One of those moments that occasionally occur. One of those moments where for a fraction of a second I know what’s important in life. I know what matters and everything else seems insignificant. And that’s the greatest feeling in the world. Could you imagine how that feels? To be sure, sure of everything you never knew. The feeling of ‘what if’ is gone and you just know what life is about. That feeling leaves as quickly as it came. Then you’re back to normal, back to the ‘what if’s’, back to the insecurities and inhibitions, back to the mystery. And, just like the one before it, that feeling hits you just like a ton of bricks.

As cliche as this sounds the world is my canvas. A blank canvas that I can’t paint. With no tools, no paints, no pastels, and no muse. Just a canvas I stare at day after day waiting for some form of inspiration. When none comes, because it never does, I’m tempted to destroy my canvas. Because that would be easier, so much easier than trying with the fear of failing. That would be easier than waiting around for something to happen with a feeling that even trying in the slightest would result in failure. The world is my canvas.

Lock. They tell me ‘don’t think just write’ so for the next minute or so im gonna lock up my mind. Lock up the philosophies I try to make so profound and intelligent when in actuality they’re as common as the thought in my neighbors mind. Lock up the insecurities and inhibitions telling me that maybe im NOT gonna be alright. Maybe i’m not gonna be something worthwhile one day. Just lock it up. And then rejoice in the fact that you have the key to anything you wish to lock up and keep bound and stored away. Lock

Who’s managing your life? It’s easy to say that you’re the one managing and in control of your life but it’s hard to admit that you’re so easily influenced by everything. You’re influenced so much that over time, though you may not realize, you aren’t managing anything. You aren’t in control of anything, you’ve just become another product of society. Conforming to whatever society tells you too, believing in whatever society wants you too, and doing whatever society deems acceptable. And it’s weird because you were always the one yelling about how you’d never conform to social norms but in the end you’ve become just like everyone else. Another clone. So now think about it and ask yourself ‘Who’s managing my life?’

The Lord says that if we have the faith of a mustard seed we could say to the mountain ‘Be thou pulled up by your root and planted in the sea’. We are more than conquerers and can do anything through Jesus Christ who strengthens us.

Honesty may hurt. Honesty may steal. Honesty may wound. Honesty may heal. Honesty may laugh. Honesty may cry. Honesty does alot of things. But honesty never lies.

Morals. Who has them and who doesn’t? I don’t believe anyone lacks morals, It’s just that people think everything, no matter how condemned by others it may be, is okay. It’s not morals that are missing in the world it is the absence of immoral activity and behavior. If everything is slowly becoming acceptable and tolerated then what will not be allowed? What will be considered unacceptable?

Everything, Everyone, and everywhere has it’s history. History it what makes us who we are. The past shapes the future and the present remembers the past. History.
