Each time she snagged a new cup from the break room, she thought about where the Styrofoam would eventually end up. She knew she should get a real coffee cup, but she also knew she sucked at keeping up with the cleaning.

purpose

She saw the word, but for some reason she didn’t think about “purpose”, Instead, a picture of a porpoise popped into her head and she was immediately transported to the ocean. She found herself standing on a white beach with her feet in the sand, the warm, blue water gently washing in over her toes. Her hair whipped around her face and she reached a hand up to sweep it out of her eyes. She breathed in warm air and let out a long exhale. Then she opened her eyes and found herself sitting on her bed up in the loft of her apartment, still dreading the day ahead. Getting back to that beach, she thought, is my purpose.
