develop. It’s a clinical type of word. I think of architects and designers, big business people in suits and metallic offices, with giant glass tables and desks. I’ve used the word a lot in essays. It’s an easy one, because you can develop almost anything. It sounds smart. Armies can develop, nations can develop, attitudes can develop. Feelings can develop. But In that case I think it sounds too clinical. Feelings don;t develop. They grow. They fester. They saturate. They thrive, they feed. They don’t develop.

Once upon a time – a long time ago – there was a cow. Now this cow turned into a piano. That piano is sitting in my office.

This single word makes children ache with fear. IT sends chills down the backs of this who wonder. And why? It does not exist! The penalty of sin is death! Not eternal torture. And God died that death. Does no one see this? Does no one see that He loves you?

Th paint stool was beckoning me. I could feel it through the wood door. I rubbed my fingers together. They were itching for the feel of a paint brush against a smooth canvas. But should I? Even after…after…

The little girl stared intensely at the bud trying to force it into showing her its freshly formed face. Turning to her mother – as she does everyday upon finding the bud still closed – she whines: “Mooomm, it not oping!”

Bloomed is a word of Spring. Gentle and cool. Light pink with soft touches of pale yellow. Yellowish green leaves pushing out of the soft branches.

Stripped from its place the torn paper flutters in the stormy winds taking on a new entity being freed from its stapled life on the billboard.

Politeness is not something you see very often these days and when you do it is quite surprising. Politeness is an art. A lost art. Except in Europe. They got this down.

I don’t know when.
I don’t know why.
He just showed up.
I’m not sure if I want him to stay
Or if I want him to leave.
I guess I’m going to find out.

People tell me that you need lots of faith to believe in God, but I think it would be easier to believe that everything came from something rather than everything came from nothing.

His withering fingers ached. He bent down and tried to grasp his cane, but it was out of reach. He couldn’t get up to get it from the stiffness in his back.

I promise that I will always love you, and be there for you. I promise to always be the rock that you can turn to, and the one you can talk to; I promise to always listen. Will you promise those things for me to? I promise to always make you proud, and live in your honor. I promise to try to be the person you will be proud to call yours. I promise. I also promise to never break my promise.
