terrain

the terrain was tough to navigate
but i kept trucking on
on and on
down the path
towards the unknown
yet assured of my journey
content in knowing that i will be healed.

falter

sometimes I falter… but don’t we all?
I try not to dread on it too much
for I know I’m only human
and humans err
humans falter
humans are humans

stitches

the stitches pierced his skin
he cried at the mere sight
why, just yesterday he had admired his chiseled arms
now they’re covered with scars
how things can change in only seconds
the irony of it all

aunt

There was an aunt in bridgemoore,
who waited and waited all day,
under the apple tree in bridgemore,
she sat and waited for hail,
cause once they told her she would live until the day when hail would see bridgemoore,
but she never knew that bridgemoore
could never see a day of hail.

vapor

The vapor ran down like water snow from the mountain top melting in the heavy summer sun. Like a fog it rolled to the town, droplets of coolness welcome in July.

The vapor was high in the air over the mountain, heavy sun and last winters snow ran down into the town like a dense fog. The summer heat melting the winters sky-slope, running downhill like water on the ice.

higher

When I think of the word higher, it makes me think of heights. Which I am afraid of. I don’t like heights. I think they are scary. I feel like I will fall off the top of something if I am standing on it. I really dono’t appreciate heights. But the word higher doesn’t just make me think of heights, it also makes me think of something being taller then something else. I have lots to say but my precious time is running out.

arts

Arts can be writing or singing or dancing or drawing or painting. People have different ways they like to express them selfs and some people like to express them selfs through art, weather its dinging or dancing or drawing or painting ect. I think that arts are great. Personally, I love art. Some people are famous for their art.

elastic

Elastic like fantastic four’s very own or rubber band. I think of X-Men, but I can’t recall who has this ability. I even think of the Incredibles, one of my old Pixar favorites. How the mother protects her family. It’s nice..

chalkboard

Chalkboard that squeaks at every every touch of the chalk. It’s annoying sometimes. Who knows. Who invented it? I can’t imagine it being used again. I prefer whiteboards, not green, not loud.

wondered

thought about, never tried, should have, past. I think about it but never regret it. tried many things, made many mistakes, wouldnt change anything. it is what it is and always will be.

coward

being a coward is hiding in fear for your life. this is no way to live, because with fear, nothing positive can be done. without any positive in your life, you’ll succumb to failure and regret it through your days.

darkroom

A photograph is worth a thousand words: it tells the truth. A silent, still capture of a scene, a figure, an action is timeless, and cannot be distorted. Photographs triumph over word in this respect.

lean

Lean? Lean on me, when you’re not strong. Lean on a fence post, watch the golden-haired, barefoot boy, and fall in love. Lean over a dock with a best friend and stop time. Lean on a friend, a lover – make them the same, and lean on both at one time.

relatives

Relatives – why is this not a four-letter word? Unconditional love helps, and hurts. The meaning of tolerance is rewritten in the name of family: condemning some, forgiving many…

memory

memory is an interesting concept. one thinks that it is real however i know that it is forever linked to emotion. as one thinks and then feels about a certain time in place, one can remember threads that are not chronological just a mumble jumble. and only when one is very still and open to the process, can one actually remember whole segments of a particularly meaning-filled time. I always marvel at how memory is enhanced by recounting with someone who was there with you. then it flows on and on until you can’t even believe how much you remember suddenly of things that have been long locked away. memory can be both a friend and a foe, depending on the subject matter. some things are best left to lie undisturbed after so much micro-inspection.

cone

ice cream from dairy land. i remember being there with jordan. she was aggressively silly that night. dad used to take me there. he’d like my cone when it dripped, he just wanted a bite of mine. it wasn’t really melting that bad. i have add. and i had it then too. clearly. waffle cone’s are the best.

worship

it kills and it saves. it can be a heaven or a hell. I do not fully understand why people are drawn to do it, because whatever they “worship” might not exist and they have no proof that it does or does not. why?

piano

I used to have a piano in michigan, a table with buck teeth. I always think of piano’s as the first kind of furniture that would kill me, you know, if furniture ever rose up against the people of the house, like those chinchillas did in that commercial. Actually i guess pianos are instruments not furniture, so maybe i don’t have to worry about that. I’ll still keep an eye out for them though. Piano’s are tricky. Hard to master too. I quit playing piano after a few lessons, mainly because i never asked for them and my mom assummed I wanted to take some. I never liked it much. ok, i’m done now. I should be studying anyways. Biology, in case you’re curious.
