This encounter was the last one of its kind. Thank God. I’ll never be able to look another woman in the face again, if I do I’ll shame the entire family. Maybe it’ll be worth it?

The ground beneath his feet was hard, flat, sun dried earth. Water had not touched the soil in generations. A farmer in the distance was trying to till the earth, but his plow had broken. Leaning down in the sun, his shadow was cast long on the ground. His spirit was breaking. Many summers too long.

nobody knows what it’s really like to be me. nobody asks me how I’m doing but yet I have so many people in my world. it’s crazy how it can be so crowded with people who are supposed to love me but don’t. nobody cares about what I do or if I was here. nobody cares.

families are perpetually portrayed as big happy families. always. it’s never how it truly is. lies betrayl are things that exist. although they don’t make for the most wholesome intriguing ratings it’s the truth. the world covers up the truth for ratings. fuck the world and the commodities.

The world and life are a series of plays. Sometimes we’re the headliner other times we’re the supporting cast, but we’re always a part of the the story

it is not wet today – I think if it would be wet I wouldn’t be here right now.
OHHHHH wet is such as funny word and can describe a bunch of different conditions.
I don’t like it when its too wet though
I must admit that I do like it when its dry and say about 70 degrees

Never to be considered too intense about anything is not the best to hope for. Intensity is needed .

Almost is one of those words that can leave a scar. How
often does it convey a sense of incompleteness.

The only needs one must have are the basic ones. All others are just fluff. The trick is knowing what the basic ones are.

The grey steel microphone stared at her as she trembled to find her voice. Gripping it in her hand, closing her eyes, forgetting all she let it wail.

Revolt may seem like the answer but the outcome is never know. Maybe better may not. The chance taken is not always worth the outcome. Revolt against wrong is right.

The alarm seemed to be a distant buzz. Nothing like what she expected. The misty day shown brighter as she began to peel open her eyes.

Someone who has unresolved needs. A person who is the source of irritation and angst. Someone who needs to lighten up.

Feuds are fights between different kinds of people. My dad was in a feud once but it worked out pretty well for him. My wife loves to watch reruns of Family Feud especially the bits with the crazy families vying for their fabulous prizes. I personally think that people are feuding too much in our society even if “feud” conjures up ideas of Georgian mountain people wearing nothing but overalls shooting at one another.

I’m thinking of guide dogs and how they lead us where we need to go. On the surface of things, we’re the master and they are the servant. But they lead and we follow. It’s a nice change of pace and an exercise in proud humility. I wonder if I am allowed to actually think during this exercise. Hmmm… Guided by the light, shut off like a deuce another runner in the night! Guided by the liiiight. Guiding Light? Isn’t that a soap opera? I think it is. A very bad one, too. But aren’t they all bad ones? Hmm… What next. Guided hand is sort of a sweet thing, like looking after somebody & trusting them to place your hand where it needs to be. Like you would with a small child or an older person. Guided like a map. Somebody shows you the way. They lead, you follow. Guided tours are supposed to be better than self-led tours. You can learn more about what you’re supposed to learn, but you’ll miss the stops and nuances along the way. Can I stop typing now? Is this the end of things? I’m not sure about that. Guided and led and guiding light and isn’t this supposed to be for ONE minute??

My grandmother’s hands were gentle. As much work, fun, play, struggle as they went through, they were the most gentle things. She had a way of holding me when I was a little kid that made me feel like I was in the safest place on Earth.
