She just continued dragging it out. Over and over again I tried to pull away but she wouldn’t let me go. She couldn’t let me go. I pushed onwards, face to the storm ahead, winds blowing the vines of the willow in my face, as I waited her out. And yet she continued smiling.

Alterations, huh? interesting. Well, speaking of those, my life has undergone quite a few alterations in the past few months. I have fallen in love, a feeling that was foreign to me until i met her. to be honest, im not entirely sure what i think of love. Its strong, perhaps too strong. At times it seems to be the greatest thing ive ever felt. It makes me laugh like a child and giggle like a little school girl. On the other hand, It can pull at my gut and pound my chest like a drum. to be so intertwind with another is terrifying.

I used to teach gym. I don’t now I don’t do much of anything. Sometimes I wish I were back taking shit from teenage assholes ful of angst and worried about nothing in particular. These days it’s all military duty and upholding the flag!

Steps sounded down the individual treads on the stairs. Each step echoing and changing as the figure descended. Each one dropping like seconds into an hour glass. I knew when the last one hit the ground that my last breath loomed.

It had been hard enough to get him into the trunk, But now she had to figure out where to take him. She looked down at him, one hand on the trunk lid. He had been a person, now he was only a problem to be solved, something to be disposed of. But how, and where?

Finding the straw on the ground I knew I must be close. The kids had fled this way and I had no idea where they had got to. It was a barn style building though it had been converted into something more modern. Contemporary but not completely new. It was a long time since it had been used for horses.

One day I came across a reporter. He was an older guy who looked like he had been round the block, more like dragged round the block. Sat on the edge of the bar minding his own business and sipping what looked like a malt. I sat near him. Not next to him, but near him.

I am very. Not many can say this, which compounds and emphasises just how very I am. Lucky.

Two halves make a whole, but two wrongs don’t make a write. Is the cup half empty or half full? That is the existential question.

The subject of this worlds obsession. Without it, you find yourself wanting things you will never have, no matter how hard you work and how much you desire it. Its a good thing to have it, but a bad thing to want it.

everything and everyone has a place. we all belong somewhere and everything belongs somewhere around us. We are in a constant search of where we might belong and can constantly question whether where we are is actually where we do belong. We all long to belong but its not about actually belonging somewhere but feeling like you belong there.

i like to love many people and to feel beloved. I you had no love than you would have no love at all. its better to have loved than not to at all. if we are all beloved than the world would be a greater place

I was sixteen one year before I was seventeen. I had a job, was miserable, didn’t have a girlfriend, didn’t have a plan, despised my aunts and uncles and ate lots of fish sandwiches at McDonalds. Worked at a department store.

Is a like part of money?

It’s good… we like it.

They’re useless when you have only one, though people still pick them up off the street. In the end they can accumulate to about $30 or $40.

It was a beautiful shark. Arching and aching for the mid-day sun. I held my footing, near the sandy undertow. Jeremy, behind me, looking like Spring. Wanting to pierce every surface.

He sat in front of the fire, staring intently at all of us. This intruder, never mentioning his name, never saying a word. He sat and stared, we stared back, for an eternal moment of uncertainty, no one knowing what was going to happen.

Put the cash away and let is sit there until you want to look at it more closely. Then look around and see if you can put it somewhere else that is better looking. If you can’t, put it back in the same place until next time. Wait 5 minutes before leaving the room.
