The desolate tree.
Dry and weathered.
A lonely lamb.
To it is tethered.

The weathered wooden bench hosted a couple of pigeons.
Roger came and sat on it. He opened his favourite sandwich and bit off a piece. A few crumbs fell of. Then he saw it. R loves G.

Jehan brushed his hand over her temple.
“Still feeling tired?”
“Uh huh…” Zuni answered feebly.
Her eyelids were drooping.
“Try and get some sleep.”
Jehan turned his wheelchair to go out of the room, but she caught his arm. He looked back at her.
“Stay”, she said resolutely.
He stayed back. For the first time in the seven months that they’d been married, he stayed back because Zuni asked him to.

I remember the time you used to tell me stories. Not fairytales though. You weren’t like other daddies. You told me stories of the dinosaurs, those of great men, of the solar system and your childhood. I still can remember each one of them.

Ensue? That is a weird word to write about. Its pissing me off that I can’t write anything about it. -_-
Well, I can only think of “The silence ensued.”

We are enemies.
We don’t talk to each other, look at each other, sit in the vicinity of each other, make any comment about the other when prompted to. We behave as if the other is invisible. All the maneuvers possible to socially shun a person, we apply.
But what started it off in the first place? To be honest, I don’t remember? What was the first instance, the first hint of the rivalry that would follow? Again, I don’t remember.
All that remains now is the anger, the animosity and the avoidance. The pretense of unfamiliarity. The cold shoulder.
Yes, we are enemies.

Enemies? They say keep you friends close, and your enemies closer. Is that true?
Well, I’ve tried to do that. But before we go into that first we’ll have to decide what an enemy is? He’s your bestest friend. :D

Crow. Crowbar. Barter. Terminator. Arnold Schwarzenegger. HULK. Green. Tree. Branch. Crow.

The crow sat on the high wires, and looked down below.
A woman trailing behind her husband with a crying baby in her arms.
A ice-cream wallah shouting his fares.
Two teenagers walking hand in hand.
An old man carrying a Hilsa fish.
One brown and two black mongrels fighting among each other.
A smart looking guy wearing dark shades and boots shuffling through his i-phone.
A little mouse coming out of the manhole lid.
And then the crow swooped down all of a sudden.

I don’t care if we die. I don’t care if we go to hell. If only I have your hands clasped in mine. :)

“We should move on. This ain’t going nowhere.”
“Will you speak up, please…PLEASE.”
“I’m going, Ani.”
And then he clasped my hands in his own and gave me a look I won’t ever forget.

Clasp. Sounds like Wasp, dunnit? Anyway, what was I saying. Yes, the clasp of the necklace you gave me broke yesterday. Pretty sad, huh!

He clasped my hands all of a sudden. “You can’t do this”, he said. I couldn’t speak, for the tears choked me down. But the, I couldn’t pull my hand away from his either. It wasn’t a clasp, not a mere clasp. It was much more, it was Superglue. :D

Electrocute, huh? You’re really gonna do that to me? Are you kidding? You seriously don’t have any thing better to torture me with? What about the Kandahar Cock wrench? Or the Anal Umbrella? You haven’t seen the Dictator? Aww, that’s sad….well go ahead then.

I went bowling with him that day. He dropped all of the pins in the first try. i just clapped from behind. then, that other girl came with her friends and he left me alone, and went to her. I came up, imagined the pins were her face and threw the ball……ALL OUT!

The planter was a good man. He wanted to crow life out of nothing. He wanted to be a creator. So, he planted a sapling into the earth. The, he went back into his porch to look at it and imagine it growing into a beautiful plant.
