“Be cleansed!” he shouted, his voice filled with righteous fury. On the demons came innumerable but they could not touch him. For he was an agent of divine retribution. None could stand before him.

I’m here selling these fine leather jackets.

  • Tyrian commented on the post, suicidal 5 years, 8 months ago

I’ve lost friends to suicide. I have, and all I can ever ask is, “Why?” I’ve considered it myself, but never followed through. There were people relying on me, people I could not let down. My friends were among the strongest people I had ever known and still they chose to end it leaving the rest of us behind. Did we mean nothing to them? I…[Read more]

  • Tyrian commented on the post, routine 5 years, 8 months ago

I’ve followed the same routine day in, day out for the last I don’t know how many years now. School, followed by work, followed by dinner, followed by bed. Repeat. Weekends, are different in that there is no school and sometimes, no work. But there it is, I’m a boring person.

  • Tyrian commented on the post, genetics 5 years, 9 months ago

Genetics is an interesting little thing. It’s the science of genes, the stuff that determines who you are, at least physically. There are those who say that nurture is greater than nature, that how you are raised has more effect on you than your genetic makeup. But there are those who say that your entire life, how you react to any kind of…[Read more]

  • Tyrian commented on the post, complexity 5 years, 10 months ago

The complexity of any relationship can not be stated. The factors that define them are endless. Actions whether past, present, or future, perceptions of those same actions, status, wealth, physical attributes, personality; all these and more come together to create what we call a relationship.

  • Tyrian commented on the post, submerged 6 years ago

There’s something about being under water, about knowing that only a few inches above your head is the sweet life-giving breath that you need to keep on going, and yet choosing restraint, choosing not to come up when your lungs start to burn, when every fiber of your being begins to cry out.

  • Tyrian commented on the post, delight 6 years ago

A strange delight, taking joy from the suffering of others. Common enough to have a word for it. Sadism. Something I thought I could never understand, could never take a part of. How naive I once was. Even I have a dark resentful place in my heart, a place that takes pleasure in the suffering of others, of making them endure the same pains I…[Read more]

  • Tyrian commented on the post, antithesis 6 years, 1 month ago

They say that demons are the antithesis of angels. I hold that they are not. Both want to live, want men to follow them to accept their teachings. They are beings from two different schools of thought, but they are not complete opposites. Demons do not seek absolute destruction while angels seek to prevent it. If they pursued that course,…[Read more]

I had dreams once, when I was young like you. I really thought that I could change the world, that I could do anything I set my mind to. But then I grew up, learned the harsh realities of the world. Better that you understand now.

  • Tyrian commented on the post, spilled 6 years, 1 month ago

The last precious drops spilled from the glass vial. That was it. All of our work, all the hardships we endured, all the losses we had suffered, and in the end, it all came to naught. Why did we undertake all that if we were doomed to lose the cure just as we reached the end of our journey?

  • Tyrian commented on the post, catapult 6 years, 2 months ago

Catapults are primitive siege weapons designed to throw boulders or clusters of rocks over a good distance. However, they are relatively inaccurate and rather ineffective against all but the lightest defenses. Better used as a terror weapon.

  • Tyrian commented on the post, signed 6 years, 2 months ago

The contract is sealed. Funny really. Just a couple drops of blood and yet I will be damned for eternity. I don’t care. I will gladly give my soul a thousand times over just to be with her. She is worth all the pain and damnation. Nothing else matters.

  • Tyrian commented on the post, airstream 6 years, 2 months ago

Airstream? Seems to me that the airstream is like a stream of water but in the air. If we had ships that sailed through the air, travel through the world would depend on that. Course, it still kinda does. Prevailing winds coming from Japan to the west coast of the U.S. make the trip faster west to east rather than east to west.

  • Tyrian commented on the post, shoulder 6 years, 2 months ago

A shoulder to lean on. That’s all I ever really wanted. Someone I could trust with all of myself, not just the mask I put on. I haven’t met anyone like that. Well that’s not entirely true. There was her. But that was a long time ago and she can’t be my shoulder anymore.

    Nothing. Nothing’s wrong, I’m alright.

    WOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOO!

Come on kid. Let’s blow this thing and go home!

  • Tyrian commented on the post, policy 8 years, 4 months ago

Policy. Could refer to any number of things. But what comes to mind when I think of policy is how the U.S. deals with foreign countries. Seems to me if they are even a little unstable, we step in. Alongside our NATO Allies of course. But… I wonder what real difference we make in the […]

  • Tyrian commented on the post, shape 8 years, 4 months ago

Shapes of things are very important. Often what one can see is the first piece of information one receives. When things are shaped well, it pleases the viewer. When they are not, the viewer experiences a sense of unease. Whether or not something is shaped well, however, is based on the viewer’s expectations and standards.

He charged up the hill leaving his fellows behind. The dark forest was beyond that hill and if she had gone into there, she was as good as dead. Sprinting as fast as he could he barely cleared the hill in time to see his charge’s head, vanish into the canopy cover of the Dead […]
