Charging towards my dreams with the speed of light, and the escape velocity of the earth.

I am charging with energy today. The sun is out, the wind has ceased to send chills down my spine, and the fresh odour of rainwater is tickling my olfactory senses. The koels and mynahs are cooing and chirping to one another.

I’d never been much of a planter. Be it planting roses in the backyard or the seeds of an idea in another’s mind. But, Yashima, one could tell was not a novice to either. As she plowed the mud from an earthen pot, and sowed flower seeds, she spoke of withering buds, greying climate and how in her clan it meant a slowly approaching destruction.…[Read more]

I was at the shopping plaza when I heard an ear-splitting sound, felt a reverberating thud and a second later, heard people howling. The air was filled with smoke, choking me and burning my eyes. In an instant a luxurious building had turned into a post-apocalyptic battleground of a dystopian novel.

The mood was grim. The house was empty, with just a circle of wind hustling in from the open back door. Nobody cared to lock it anymore. The real treasures of the house were only seen by it’s people. But even in their death, their souls found their way back to guard it. A second circle of wind gushed inside, much thicker than the previous. A…[Read more]

“What do you mean? How can it be artificial? How can anyone fake love?”
“I don’t know, it’s just a gut feeling…of something amiss… something fake… something real. Like you so badly want it to be real, yet there are so many complicated issues that haven’t resolved, and you’re…[Read more]

“Everybody’s heard of the Big Fat Indian Wedding, of course? Haven’t they?” pointed out Anayra sarcastically to her aunts and their friends from the foreign country who were looking at her flabbergast. She was being made to wear a ton of jewelry, her body swimming in layers of silk. But there was not a speck of love in the air.
