  • Natalie commented on the post, trap 6 years, 7 months ago

The greates trap, is love. It holds you, keeps you, tricks you into tripping over wires that will cage you. The trap of love, will never release you, with hopes of only starvation of the spirit.

I had fixed that part, of my heart, I thought. He came along again, to remind me that I did not have the right tools.

So I did what any bright, young girl would do….I gathered the broken pieces, and gave them to you.

I like the way butterflies look when they fly. They are still creepy little bugs with spider legs.

  • Natalie commented on the post, function 7 years, 1 month ago

my function is through color. I move throughout my day being persuaded by it. It distracts me from any deserving conversation, and pulls my soul into thin air.
On any given day, the combination of blue, orange and white, makes me feel like running for president, or opening a bakery shop.

the aprons I have collected have graced the hips of many grand cooks. I keep thinking the vintage wonder, in swirls of orange, and avocado green will conjure magnificent recipes from within my soul. Nope…. Still makin tacos.

A proper dessert is delivered in the morning, before the sun has come up. Mine is served in the summer, with the wind whipping through my window, sneaking across my ear, lying in briefness, on my forehead.

  • Natalie commented on the post, still 7 years, 4 months ago

    One of my favorite words.
    Still.
    So simple.
    Still.
To be.(One of the best places To be. I might add)
    Still.
I still love you, and still hate you.
    Still.
    “you still on some Adele?”

Romantic in origin, with a practical balance. A perfect word.

  • Natalie commented on the post, automatic 7 years, 5 months ago

It is automatic, to make martinis. I feel like I do not need eyes or hands to do it. The beauty lies in the shakin, a sort of sexual magic that is transferred, and lingering for those who choose Tanqueray.

  • Natalie commented on the post, relate 7 years, 5 months ago

I relate to the world through the paint that pours off of my brush. My strokes are my words, and screams. My love, my hate. My struggle, my passion. It is my secret place to sort out all of the things that pester us all, and a voice to silently proclaim it.
