    Pools.
Oh for God’s sake, no! Everyone thinks of that! Come up with something original for Christ’s sake.

    I don’t know what you’re talking about.

Oh let the night be merciful to me. Tired doesn’t begin to do the way my bones and tissues feel right now. Doesn’t even begin. I wish I could walk down to the lake and soak away, wash away, the weariness in my deepest crevices that bubbles up from my darkest parts.

“Earrings?!” Marian let out an exasperated sigh. With head in hand she walked over to the liquor cabinet, skillfully poured herself a scotch and gazed distantly out the lace curtained window as she gently sipped her drink.

    Always.
    Always?
    Always.
Never have I known Eve to not be “vocal”. And I was there the day she was born. Her mother’s birthing coach.
    Ah. I see.
    Yes.
    Always.

The potatoes weren’t bad. They never were. Her face was different tonight. Somehow, more tired, more lovely than usual.

She noticed the new hook wound on his hand.

No, no, no, no. He should be standing. It doesn’t make any sense for him to be sitting at this point. It’d be very awkward.

Adam was exasperated at this point he didn’t put up a fight. He silently walked to the center of the abandoned penthouse they were in, paused, looked up, then effortlessly threw the every single page of the script into the…[Read more]

Colonel? Ha! Not on your life! He was never a Colonel. Margaret took another wash of whiskey as she leaned against the maple desk in her late husbands office. Her gaze drift toward the window overlooking downtown and the distant sound. Never… not my Richard, she whispered to no one in particular.

    Improv? He asked.
    Improv. She replied.

He returned to the, dingy steam stained window and started from the top.

Her skin was milky with a gentle splattering of freckles. I couldn’t see her face behind all that thick, curly auburn hair. Just her tender arm.

  • Lena commented on the post, checkmate 6 years, 6 months ago

Checkmate. You want me to do what? I don’t want you to do anything. Just checkmate. Checkmate? Checkmate. Alright. I love you. I love you too.

    It’s still checkmate.

Oh she did it this time. What the hell had she been thinking? Running around like that as if Sherrif Colanpaul wasn’t going to see. You know, I wonder if she knew he was going to see. If she wanted him to.

Oh bagel. I do miss you. Toasted or not. Soft, so soft. Full. Tough. Delicious. Hearty. Fill me up. I could eat you plain. With a little berries mixed in the batter, that was nice.
