It’s a mystery, a puzzle within a puzzle. The first time I read this word, it was in The Scarlet Pimpernel, the precursor to superheroes and the secret identity. I think humanity is always looking for secrets.
The enigma haunted her. She would look out the window and the perspective of the object rotating in the air unsettled her. She didn’t know what it was, or what it wanted from her by its position in front of her window. She tried to call the police to ask, but when she opened her mouth, the words would not come out like whatever it was, was trying to stop her.
I don’t know what enigma means, but it doesn’t sound like a good word it sounds like a medical or smart word. I don’t think that I would use it if I did now what it meant,
