  7. She blazes like the sun, like the unstable stars, like the laws that stand on the shoulders of giants and meek, fragile men. She burns. She burns within and without, enough to corrode, enough to plow through centuries of sluggish attempts at progress that are little more than pedaling in place.

  8. Do you remember that time in your life when you decided not to be righteous anymore? You decided to rebel just to see how it felt. “It’s just this moment,” you told yourself. “I am still good every other time.”

  9. We were talking today about memory. About learned behaviors, that may have faded. That have faltered to the point of an absent muscle memory. I wish it were easier to critically think in the moment, I long for it deeply again. The righteous self improvement has passed, and where, and when will it be tapped.

  10. the path of the righteous, man
does not align with the path of the spineless man

  11. I don’t believe in the righteous ones: They always end up wrong in the end. They always lie and cheat and steal, and they always harm the women. The righteous ones are ugly both inside and out, and they know it, too. They wear suits in order to hide their black and twisted hearts. They drink champagne so the bubbles ease the pits of wrath in their stomachs. I don’t believe in the righteous ones; they were never righteous to begin with.

  14. His righteous was a silence that slithered through all the rooms in the house. It had the smell of stuffy furniture and old onions. We were waiting for him to come. He said he would. But as soon as he arrived it was like he had always been there, no matter how many times we asked him to leave.

All the slang I didn’t understand.
“Choice” just as something to say,
when we were young it didn’t apply
to paca-lolo or sex, just an equivalent

  19. Fury and righteous adrenaline pumping, righteousness is a call to action, it’s the blood that pumps you into the morning, the fuel that fires a screech of victory before the victory’s been secured. Righteousness is its own dessert, which is often its failing — an ideology devoid of ideas, a simple call to keep the feet moving. Action for its own sake is destruction; righteousness is idealized havoc, the destruction of the world for the sake of one’s own need for mental amphetamine.
