  1. I felt remorse all over me like
waves of sand, already doused by sea shine
you stood before me like a flame of white –
and I’d never been so sorry.

you parted the sea and flew into me like
    a dove so fast
    and full of life,
    I then woke up.
I realized I picked apart the dream
    saw the core,
    and in it,
    your heart was pure and glistening;
and I couldn’t frame it quite right.

  3. Into the night she sneaked, her black shoes quiet on the soft grass. The wind whistled softly, almost apologetic through the branches above her head. Looking to her left, she could make out the mansion. There was a light on in the lower level but the upstairs sections were completely dark.

  4. What does it mean to be apologetic?

Is that you are truly sorry? or is it that you value a relationship above being right? Maybe its not either, maybe you like the pity it brings. I don’t know and neither do I care. You broke me, so why on earth should I be apologizing to you?

I don’t think I should be and I don’t think you deserve to be.

  12. I shouldn’t feel so apologetic for the things I believe when they differ from yours. I am not sorry. I strive to be strong, to be confident. Neither of us should be apologizing and it damn sure shouldn’t be me. I have never put your beliefs down. I have never been less than supportive.

  14. Seph sat in bitter agony. She didn’t want to admit that she was actually feeling sorry for what she did. She scoffed and though to herself. “Yeah right, sorry? He’s the one who’s at fault, he fucking started it.” But there was still a nagging feeling at the back of her brain. Seph threw her hands up in the air. “I give up.” This was an internal conflict that would never be resolved, might as well forget about it. People like her don’t have time to worry about things like apologies anyways.

  15. They circled each other for days, shooting angry glares like poison arrows. The air around them was thick with animosity borne from pain only family could cause. It’d been a week since their last ‘hello’, so Karen froze when she heard soft footsteps approach her in the kitchen. “Good morning,” her sister said softly. “Morning,” Karen replied, accepting the apology.

Ganz ohne Schuld.

  24. I’m not afraid to apologize, but I will never fake one. I won’t apologize for my opinion, but I will apologize if I offend yours. It’s not good to always be sorry, you need to know when to stand your ground or admit you made a mistake.

  25. He stared at her after it was over and brushed an eyelash off her cheek. Her skin prickled with apprehension at his touch. It wasn’t warm or pleasing. Something sinister shone in his eyes. How had he changed so quickly? Moments before he was brushing his hands along her naked body and now that tenderness was gone.

  27. When I’m down
It’s a hard pill to swallow
    I can’t say I’m sorry
    Even though my apology resonates
With the deepest parts of my soul
I keep it hidden like stars
    During the daylight.
