  1. I tried to add salt to the soup, but my grandma harshly slapped away my hand. She doesn’t like her soup salter.

  2. Young, inexperienced, the world had not yet been seen. Life had not left it’s flavor on her yet and she wasn’t sure she liked that. Scared to know what it would be like, scared she would regressively wish herself back home, but not scared enough to prevent her from plunging headfirst into the wilderness.

  3. I dont like when my food isnt salted, I always need salt when i eat my chicken sandwichs. its gives flavour and i love it. Bland is boring who likes boring?

  4. She popped a chip into her mouth and dusted the crumbs off her fingers. Okay. Focus. Words on the page. Think the words. Put them on the page. These chips are disgusting. She spit the bite into her mouth and grimaced at the package. “Unsalted. This is bullshit.” She tossed the bag aside. Stop. Focus.

  5. It is all the rage nowadays to have unsalted, sugarless and oil less food for the health conscious. I love butter on my bread, chapati even eggs. But unsalted? nah! i also want some flavor in my food. So i would use small amounts of salted butter. The regular kind, not the icky low cal type.

  6. Craig unhappily winced his way through the pack of unsalted peanuts that were the only thing he had left to eat. He was stuck on a crowded plane that had yet to leave the tarmac, and this tasteless, dry snack was the only foodlike substance in his backpack left.

  7. All I can think about is, when standing in the aisle at the grocery store, facing the salted and unsalted butter…I could never remember which you prefer. So I got both, because I didn’t want to argue over that, or the fact that I once again had forgotten to charge my cell so I couldn’t just call and ask you.

  8. The peanut pack was unsalted. Mmmm, just the way I like it. Getting your lips crinkled before an interview is bad. Wouldn’t want to get that.

  9. She took a bite, before swiftly spitting it out.
‘Ugh, didn’t you put any salt in this?’
‘Look around you, does it look like we have any?’

  10. Usually used to describe crisps and butter though I use it to describe those raw, on-the-edge moments some seem to enjoy while others seem to bask in the safety of their home.

  11. “Unsalted? Why did you serve unsalted peanuts. You know I hate them. It’s the salt I need, not the peanuts. My body is low on salt.”
“Why don’t you jump into the ocean?”

  12. The pile of unsalted fish grew larger. Even time, she thought she was nearly finished – laying out the fillet and salting it down – her husband brought another pile. Finally, worn out, she cried. “Isn’t this enough for one day?”

He looked at her, as mean as ever. “We have to stock up. You know that. When the snow starts to fall, we won’t be able to fish until the ice thickens. No complaining now. Salt these fish.”

Her tears added to the saltiness of the brine that was irritating her hands. When she met him in the market a year ago, she had been a silly child taken with this mountain man. He was passionate. But now that she allowed herself to be taken away, up into the mountains, she realized that while she was looking for love and adventure, he just wanted a slave.

  13. I have never liked my food unsalted. I have always liked my food with a little taste. I get that little taste from blood. Because blood is slightly salted and that makes me just sooo happy. Unsalted makes me want to kill someone. ahahahah BYE

  14. My cholent today…That’s just what it was…a royal disaster. When one makes a cholent with one’s daughter and the daughter is the one doing the salting that is what is going to happen. and if one were to be on the phone changing diapers and making a cholent all at once..that is what will happen…an unsalted cholent.

  15. the desert has a lot of plants, it is now possible. a grey man with a tool that looks like a rack is continuously and slowly moving the water on the lake, the salt is separated. now the desert is green, greener than ever. the man is very happy, he has brought greenness to his otherwise very dry world

  16. The steak was bland and unsalted, and no amount of extra on-the-surface seasoning could salvage it. I called over the waiter, but he seemed more interested in ogling my girlfriend than fixing my meal. When I left a five cent tip, the guy caught me at the door and went berserk on me. I sincerely thought he was going to stab me with his own pen before an old lady whacked him, hard, with her purse. “Don’t you hurt her for your sh***y service!” she admonished him.

  17. The unsalted butter lay on the table between them, a solitary blemish on the otherwise clear and pristine marble. Brian had already forgotten why he had asked for it.
