  3. I collapse on my bed, cocoon myself in the covers, and just lie there. Breathing. Thinking. Such an odd thing to do on a Saturday night. It’s already been 3 weeks since we last spoke, and he’s still all I ever think about. As each day passes, I continue to realize that I have less and less confidence in my ability to get over him. No confidence at all. Not in even in the slightest.

  4. I feel slightly slighted when you catch me in your sight and sidle away,
    and I feel increasingly insulted when you intentionally incriminate me and incarcerate my innocence.

  21. “Just turn your head a little, slightly to the right and down”, he heard himself say. He had become too good at allowing them to believe he was fine. Allowing them to think he was his normal self. Confident and happy and so in love with his work, that he was excited by every snap of the camera lens. Yet everything seemed like a film now, slowly playing in front of his eyes, he still had the lead role, but his heart was no longer in it. His mind was somewhere else and only she knew where to find it.
