  16. I wish I could go skating. I broke my knee the last time I skated. I was a skater with a broken knee. I was off my feet for six weeks. What a time! That was the reason I wasn’t a skater. Breaking anything is a reason not to carry on.

  17. He skid, fell and broke. Nothing was about to unnerve him though. Skaters get back on their feet. Always. Or you are as good as dead, they say. Get back on his feet, he did. Back on the board that was once just wood but not a polished, glamarous platform for him to stand.

  21. Skaters career is a very risky career. There are lots of skaters who lost their lives while skateing.
This shows what these Skaters mental apptitude is “Risk Taking”.This a goof profession but a risky career as you need to be in form for a long time and bear all the difficulties during your time on ice.I wouldn’t want to skate as i cant be on ice for a long time.I start shivering when am on ice for even less than 1 second

  22. The skater ran inside the house to kill the night with the screech of his wheels. An explosion of air elevates him into a dream of caricatures and smoke.

  23. He went down the ice rink, screeching his heart out. Around him, bystanders cringed, mommies holding on to their kiddies with irate expressions, an elderly couple frowning unhappily at yet another display of uncultured youth today.

Well, fuck them, because he just got the scholarship of his life and the girlfriend of his dreams. Today, nothing could bring him down.

  26. I liked the song skater boi by Avril Lavigne. My cousins were skaters. One time, I got on a skate board, and then I fell. That’s when I knew I could never be a skater. It’s just not one of my talents. Maybe if I practice, I could be better.

  27. he was a skater boy and he was absolutely not worth her time. that didn’t mean, however, that she didn’t hang out at the edges of the quad during lunch, when the skaters fucked around and ate pizza, to watch them.

    she was watching HER.

  28. Thin ice
    My rink a dangerous world
I’ve always been a skater on the edge
My blades cutting like a razor
The finest line between reality and fantasy
Always performing for judges seen and unseen
I glide along with confidence and flair
Hoping to hide my flaws and insecurity
I never play it safe, doing just enough
I leap, I spin, my goal to win
To risk nothing, the greatest sin

  37. I’m not a skater. Never have been, never will be. But what I do skate through is life. Making aligned choices as a matter of priority, I push the boundary everytime I wake to see the first light of the day. For those who missed me, I’m back. For those he didn’t, hide yourself. Aligned choices, daily. Rest, work, recover.

  38. Pond skaters dance across the water. Their long legs create tiny pools and disrupt the thin film of water around me. Cool and deep, my limbs outstretch, long arms and legs wading in the water underneath the beating hot sun. And the hum in the air is the beating of insects wings, not traffic. And the thump-thump-thump on the ground is a herd of sheep grazing nearby, not the rattle of a train. Their gentle bleating and the hollow beat of their bells surrounds me, even the great racing inner-city thoughts can’t touch me now. Paradise.

  39. Skaters, meaning skate boarders, are right up there with pickup truck drivers in their attitudes. As in, mostly arrogant you know whats. Not all of them, of course, but more of them than you woudl think.

The worst are the ones that bring their skateboards on the bus. They are usually losers.

  40. Jane thought she’d be a skater so she could impress Tammy, who had been skateboarding since she was four feet tall and still chewing watermelon-flavored bubble gum. Jane tried to do an ollie and wound up skinning her left knee and twisting her right ankle – a painful combination. Tammy took her to her car to ice her ankle and patch up her knee, and as the scabs formed, Jane thought about trying again to be a badass for her crush.
