  1. China was where silk originally came from. A queen originally found the silk worms, and eventually they became what they are today. Silk is smooth, and the pillows keep your hair perfect. Silk is something we take for granted every day.

  3. Silk. The lovely and luscious material of gods. it comes from china, from the silkworm, presumably a dirt-dwelling creature that produces the finest of natural fabrics. oh i swoon at rubbing my face against its cool richness, and the culture that produced it. Silk. God’s pillows are made from it.

  13. silk is the way you love me. it is the way you feel against my cheek. i want to roll into you all day long, all night long. and finally when you fade, it was as if you weren’t here at all.

  14. It wasn’t cotton. It wasn’t knit. It felt as beautiful as anything I’d ever had in my hands, and it was mine. A silk scarf. I know it sounds silly, to be so excited about such a small thing, but to me, it meant so much. It meant that I was worth the time of picking out something so pretty and luxurious. Some girls like jewelery. Some like chocolate. I never had a particular affection for anything of the sort. I’ve always been simple and practical. But this scarf. Oh how I loved it.

  18. Smooth, elegant, soft, desirable. Once it was valued very highly. Used to represent great wealth and power. Silk worms seem pretty legit, although I’m embarrassed that I don’t know any more about silk worms.

  19. It was made of silk, pretty smooth and soft, but it did not stay that way, as i felt it it turned hard and rough, and it went from being white, to turning black, i was frightend.

  20. silk is so soft. I love the feeling of it against your skin, and it’s also supposed to be better for your hair and skin. However, it can get annoyingly hot sometimes, so I refuse to wear silk pajamas. In other terms, silk can describe the texture of soy milk. It is also a compliment to be told your skin feels like silk. Yum!

  23. Silk worms crawled across the floor as she watched, forlorn and far away. The beauty that was possible because of these creatures would never be known to them, just as the naive and innocent ignorance prevents humans from seeing their true potential. At least, that’s what the man in the blue police box told her; for some reason she trusted his kind, sad eyes.

  24. So soft. Like silk almost. He couldn’t imagine anything as soft as her hair between his fingers. Yes, this must be what silk feels like, and he told her. Of course neither had ever felt silk. But they laughed at his statement just like they had felt it that very day.

  29. The pages felt like silk. I should have known they would. A text so old, so sacred would have pages that felt like nothing else but silk. Every sentence was poetry. Even the margins appeared holy. Unlocking its meaning would prove to be the true test.

  32. The kite may not have been made of silk, but it bonded us together in a way that no other man-made thing could. We had put blood, sweat, and tears into this…and now our hard work was finally paying off. I smiled–the kite flying was the perfect way to end our summer.

  34. silk is something soft and expensive. It is a great fabric and was originally found in China. The Silk Road was named after it, since silk was one of the main goods that traveled along this famous route. Silk is sought after by many of the well-to-do.

  35. silk was imported by the British they travelled to China to gather the silk and come back using the Silk road. Italians discovered this road first, from this came the bubonic plauge. Geshia in Japan wore silk robes, very expensive ones to be exact. they kept them in a room and all of the robes were stored there, if the house caught on fire they would loose a lot of money!

  37. Silk sheets are very soft, I used to have them on my bed at grandmas house but she has since moved from there since my grandpa died. Silk is from silkworms if it’s made traditionally, that would be awfully expensive nowadays to make silk the way they were made before. I mean, how much would you like to get paid to pull thread from a worms butt?

  39. Silk. Smooth and soft and it flows over everything beautifully.
Can you feel the silk, or is just an extension of the air around it?
It makes everything more grand and sleek because it is silk.

  40. soft to the touch and evil. the fabric of death.or,more correctly, a fabric of death. with leather there is seldom more than one death to make a garment but something made of silk requires thousands of small seemingly insignificant deaths.
