  5. I once started dancing. I pranced and I danced like I couldn’t breath without dancing. I danced and danced, and repeated my steps. Repeated my steps. Repeated my steps. I rest on the floor to catch my breath. I take a breath. I repeat my breath. I repeat my breath. I repeat the dance. I repeat my breath.

I stand, and I dance. I lay and I breath. I lay and I breath.
I stand, and dance. I lay and I breath. I lay and I breath.

One can never dance like me. Unless they repeat. Unless the repeat.
Dance, Breath, Repeat. This is life.

  8. Repeat repeat repeat. For emphasis. Like the stories, in the gospels, of people asking and receiving. Broken people. Lost people. People who’d screwed up. People who didn’t deserve healing. Asking and receiving. The stories are repeated, so that, maybe, one day, we’ll understand the idea that is not by works we are saved.

  13. Waking up so groggily, being not quite sure of exactly where I was or why, still being exactly where I always was, in my room, at home, in my life – walking home in the rain in my heels carrying too many books, thinking too many thoughts. I was just a repeat offender.

  14. I do this over and over again. I don’t know why. It’s like wiping a table for hours on end- pointless as heck, because after a while, there’s really no point.

My problem is that I keep coming back to the same things, the same ideas, the same wants, over and over again. I want my reality to be what I perceived it as so long ago.

It’s kind of childish, maybe. I don’t want to believe in angels, in God, in good, so I don’t. I fight it every step of the way, make up so many reasons why it can’t be true.

  15. I don’t like to live life on repeat. I want to make new experiences and always have a different path to go down, if need be. Repeat makes me think of static. I want my life to be filled with various shades of colors, the brightest blues and yellows. Static means never changing. I will change and develop.

  29. i like to repeat things, but often i feel that my repetition of brilliant thoughts deprives me of the opportunity to be creative and original. it’s sad that i often have a hard time coming up with my own things to say. even now, as i type this, my thoughts are about two things: the fact that i am not being a good writer by capitalizing the letters i should be, and that i actually have nothing interesting to type. i wonder if soon the time will run out. i want to write more but i am affraid of repeating myself! ha! “if there’s an original thought out there, i could use it right now”- Bob Dylan- possibly the most repeated man in the history of the United States. And I repeat: possibly.

  30. I lay in bed. Listening to this song on repeat. And as that song flows through my head, I think of everything. I make up scenarios of events that I wish could happen. I think of things about that day. What was happening that day, what I should have done differently, what I should have said differently. I don’t know. But right then, I can’t sleep. Just like the other nights that follow.
