  6. I love donating blood. The only part that irks me is when they slice your finger with that tiny piece of glass. When they insert the needle into my vein I feel relief. It’s like I’m knitting a river of life that can be given to someone else.

  7. A needle is hard to find in a haystack
    Hard to thread in the dark
    Hard to pass through and painfull to stick in your finger
    but great for sewing with, long or short usually metal with a hole one end.

  8. A needle in the haystack is such a crazy little saying, but what does it mean really? The implication is that a needle is impossible to find in a haystack. I say hogwash! It’s time we start chasing our dreams and even more so the ones that say they are impossible. No more needless needles to chase, but dreams come in extremely small packages that most people won’t chase. You can chase yours! Start today!

  10. its pointy it kinda hurt sometimes, it can be used for innovations to make things, not just to sew cloth to cloth and fabric to fabric but also electronics to fabric, it can also be used to carry signals from one to another if they were metal… now that would be fucking cool, this thing is an idea maker!!!1 helps you make the next big thing

  11. Needles are used for sewing and surgery. They are usually made out of metal and are very sharp and pointed. Needles are also used for giving tattoos and needles usually have a hole at the end.

  12. I hate needles. I really fucking hate them. The doctors always say it won’t hurt, but they LIE. Seriously, what is with people and needles? I don’t get people on the ‘roids, because needles are scary things. The only thing they are good for is piercing people. Wait…

  13. I hate needles. I think they are horrible and painful. However, they can lead to wonderful things like piercings, tattoos, and cures for certain diseases. Although not good, they can be used to shoot heroin, too. I don’t like needles.

  14. I really wasn’t ready for it but my friends started pressuring and pressuring me into doing it. I sat down in the chair and the burliest man came out and asked me what i wanted. I handed him a paper with a picture on it and he said okay. The needle hit my skin and i almost passed out and when i woke up with a tattoo and i’m out of time

  24. i am not afraid of one, although both my sister and my mother are terrified of them. what is the point? it’s typically handled with care, unless you are a druggie of some sort. needles. they’re needed in medical rooms, for the humor both tattooes and piercings. nothing to be afriad, but why then?

  27. The pointe shoe was resting in my left hand as i grabbed the needle and thread with my right and pierced the satin shoe and ribbon binding them together. As i mad the stitches sewing the ribbons onto the shoes i remembered these would be my last pair of pointe shoes i would need knowing i wouldn’t dance again after the closing night of my last show.

  38. These remind me of the horrific days when i had to get booster shots. A sore arm for a whole day how terrible.

  39. In the morning, I wake up and shower in the darkness. I get up before everyone because to me, getting ready is a process. I pick my outfit while shampooing my hair, and the I stick to that choice. If I didn’t I would never get out of the house. This morning the shirt I wanted didn’t fit right. I got out a needle and thread, and with a few quick alterations it was perfect. I went to school and all felt right with the world. I love feeling domestic.

The old women would sit in her living room everyday looking out of her window and the enormous forest surrounding her. She would sit in her old wooden rocking chair and hem and sew items using needles that were past down from generation to generation of Deboughs.
