I gre up on a little road in West Roxbury, Massachusetts. To this day, they never paved it even though when the wind blew hard enough, dollar bills flew from the windows of our neighbors’ houses. But I liked it that way. Coming home from a long trip, asleep in the passenger seat, the bump of that road let me know — home.

Local cuisine, black sausages with lingonberry sauce, bought a tiny kiosk near the railway station. Weather, the skies get dark around three am as autumn crawls towards winter, and it will be a month before the days start getting longer. The city is cold and dirty and the Christmas lights lit two weeks ago do nothing to cheer it up. They look out of place. Just like me in this strange place, that only person who never learned to eat those sausages. They’ve got blood in them, they taste of iron. Just like winter.

Farms selling good ol’ products. Produce for the people down the street, in restaurants and grocery stores and sitting at home. They may charge a little extra, because they sell more than just food, they sell an idea.

Localized tornado! Blowing through town whooshing things from one place to the next. Creating great gusting gusts to disturb the mental state of all in the vicinity.
By Nico URL on 11.27.2012
It’s just the local color
That brings me to this place
Its watered down wine and cheap booze
And the bartender’s poker face
I’d like to dance on tables
If the band could play a tune
I’d start a bar fight with my friends
Just so I could punch some drunken goon
I’d wake up several days later
With my clothes covered with dirty sweat
I’d look at my best partner in crime
And whisper ‘that was our best date yet!’

Somewhere in your community there is a bar. You’ve never been inside it and never really had the inclination to. You sometimes even wonder how it remains in business. But today, on this cold November evening, you decide to go in for a pick me up. There you find the bars inhabitants and know what it means to be a local.

I love to shop locally during the holidays. The owners are just as stressed but they are still more fun than the folks in the big chain stores. Everything you buy is a double treat. One for you and one for them. And they usually have cookies or cocoa or something sweet.

I am a local. A native. But what to? Is anyone really a local or a native to one area, to one country, or even to this earth? We are all transient people, whether it be from life to death, or from living with our parents to being on our own. Nobody is local.

the local teenagers were all gathered around the party sipping on beer and other alcoholic beverages. loud music fills the halls of the once parental-guided house, and overflows.. pouring out the windows and filling the streets with crude language. Until the cops come. Teenagers swarm out of the house in a paniced frenzy, some get knocked to the ground and stumbled over. Sometimes i feel sorry for them, and other times i just laugh at their misfourtune.

“Go big or go home,” the businessman said. “The world is where you should be – that’s where the big money is made. Don’t you want big money.”
“No,” the gardener responded. “I am happy with my local food source. It’s fresher – from garden to my kitchen.”

Local can be relative to the feelings that someone close to you causes you to encounter, someone being within the same vicinity as you can localize them to your heart and make them something unforgettable. Long live and love locals<3

local folks have been distressed about the rain news somedays there are no rain to feed their souls and they feel oddly happy, its unnatural one once said, we feel guilty from that free happiness. The clear wheather was gone and the inhabitants got back to their empty coffe shop afternnons and their at the living room wasted lifes as usual, noone had nothing to complain anymore. Down to the pub to have a pint…or two or three. Lucky for me it’s near my house. Local pub, local to home. Result!

A place that is near, and possibly dear. Home. A place that is missed when it’s left, and conjures a smile at the return. Familiar faces and places and smells. A constant green and warmth. Not like here, where it’s too cold and turns gray for winter.

I don’t want to remain local when I graduate. I want to fly to far away lands, and meet people, and learn new things. Home sickness will be my cross to bare, but it will be worth it.

local is relative. local to me, next to me. In the city. In the state. In the country. In the world. In the universe. In fact, we are all local..there is no limit. Limitless local.

The local shops are always the worst. They are always full of people. It’s impossible to get anything from there. Anything good, anyway, those things always seem to be in the most far away places. Places one can’t reach just by slapping on some shoes and walking.
Things are never that easy, are they?

Localization is what brings the community together. People attack the phrase local as being that of a hipster vocabulary. Personally, the word local reminds me of my sister and her lifestyle, and that inspires me. Local food products are what makes our economy boom and are actually healthier and more ecologically smart.
