She hated lightning. In her dark rooms, the lightning would- for a split second, cast reaching, looming shadows around her.
He loved lightning. One flash of light, a split second- just enough to see. His victims never saw him coming.

They look great but as all pretty things are dangerous.

The lightning lit up the roads so much, that it was as if it was sunny. The rain was coming down so hard, and it was so dark. The flashes of lightning here and there were all she had to make it home.

comes before thunder
surge of energy from the skies coming from the negatively charged particles in the atmosphere wanting to touch the positively charged ground. :D

I like sitting at home on a rainy day, to hear the thunder and lightning outside. Normally when it’s a gloomy day, i get depressed, and the lightning kind of reflects my mood. theres still a light inside me even when im feeling down.

lightning is one of those rare events which really distinguishes people. it says something about you if you love it, and it definitely says something if you hate it. no matter how you feel about it though, i don’t think anyone would disagree that it’s mesmerizing. the way it splits the sky clean in half and with such theatricality makes it one of the most captivating phenomena I’ve seen

On rainy days, Shiloh and I used to love to sit on the porch swing at my house, where we’d listen to the rain and watch for lightning. We’d wrap up in the yellow quilt my grandma made, our heads touching so our hair would mix together. I miss that. I miss her.

Lightning, the first thought that comes is about thunderstorms and lightening in the sky. However quickly the second thought came that looked like lightning the load being a lighter person not having so much heaviness around me. This is something that would be nichave since mainly I feel heavy

It was a humid summer day, and the rain was coming in. My brother and I joined friends at the top of the hill to watch the storm roll in. The lightning struck impressively upon the hilltop as we “ooh-ed” and “ah-ed” at the oncoming storm’s performance.

I remember the one late saturday afternoon that I saw the sky such colors, purples, yellows, reds and greens and fantastic lightning. and thought it was the coming of the end of time. It was beautiful.

I see that the gods granted me a gift. Lightning struck me and I feel empowered. The rational side of me suddenly told me that this isn’t possible. The next moment I felt nothing. My loved ones crying.

Fuck lighting man. Shit’s terrifying. From a human perspective that is. The actual physical/chemical process of lighting is nothing short of breathtaking. But if you’re a squishy meat puppet, lighting is terrifying. I’ve seen people get struck twice in a row. Don’t believe everything you hear.
By Matt Locke on 07.26.2011
The lighting was so strong, it set the horses wild. We didn’t know what to do, the two of us. The cove was the best place to stay until the storm was over.. Unfortunately, neither of us realized how wrong we were.

The world lit up as blue streaked across the sky, followed half a second later by a thunderous crash. Rain poured harder and the trio ran faster, desperately seeking shelter. They shouted to each other, trying to give directions, to give warnings, but the thunder and the wind drowned out their words.

lighting is not frightening but this prose is,
i’ll tell you that
i have to type as fast as lighting
i have to have inspiration
come strike me down like lighting
from the heavens
lightning never strikes twice

flash in the dark sky, with the horizon growing darker and darker.
how long is a minute?
it’s too long when compared to a lightning, that’s for sure.
lightning disappears in an instant, too fast for time to catch up. time, that measure of things man come up with.
blaze of energy and fire.
too tired to think

The lightening danced across the parkway. I was mesmerized and terrified at the same time. I felt my mortality and how small I am in the scheme of things. I felt myself at God’s mercy.

your eyes hit me like lightning, i bristled with the promise of your gaze, too afraid to reach out, too scared to draw away. i remember the last time this happened.. recoiling and yearning at the thought simultaneously. an idea flitted across my mind: lightning wasnt supposed to strike twice.

lightning never strikes twice….so I wonder, will I ever find anyone like you again? Will anyone else make me feel as loved and cared for as you did? Will I ever find a man as good and kind hearted is you? Is it possible for me to find someone who will appreciate all the things you took for granted?

It strikes, electrifying everything. The taste of electricity charms the environment. Still. Hypnotized under the spell of the magic behind the lightning. Such miracles. Allah.

it is silver and scary. it usually accompanies rain and severe downpour. I know of a lot of people who have actually died because they were struck by a bolt of lightening. okay yea thats it lol

“These lines of lightning mean we’re never alone”
I never understood, well,
I never put much thought into the line.
I never felt the need to.
But while in my loneliest of hours,
It showed itself again.
Pulled me from the dark,
Brought me into the rain.
Made me feel the rain on my skin.
Made the wind fill my ears.
Made me remember that there was someone else out there,
Crying with the sky, staring at the light.
I thought long and hard about that person.
How we were the same.
And how neither of us

lightining and thunder. i always get confused in both of them. but i do remember the difference, that one of them is the sound of lightning/thunder and the other is the when it is seen

I love the look of lightning in the sky.
You know the scene. It’s dark, the thick veil of ominous clouds blot out the moon’s attempt to shine. The night turns black. Black and wet.
Then, with suddenness unmatched, lightning breaks free and lights the sky and all that dwells beneath it for one, vivid moment of clarity.

It makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up and shiver. The loud claps that follow, warn me to keep inside. Bright flashes make my eyes widen with wonderment.

Already we have discussed this topic. But once again young student I will explain lighting. Lighting is a thought. A flash, then its gone. You must grab hold of it before it disappears. If you wait, all you are left with is a deafening blast, and the sense that you missed something important. Grab hold, and don’t let go. Because someday that idea might save your life.
