  3. That one time I had to demonstrate how to make hand dipped candles. It seemed like such a lame endeavor, but learning how to add the right amount of bayberry leaves and wax was an art form. Dipping and drying the candles became theraputic and a part of my childhood I will never forget.

  4. I want to demonstrate my life to someone who will understand. Maybe they can help me to describe it along with so many different things. I want to look at someone and have them know that I demonstrated everything with someone and be happy and peaceful cause I didn’t hold it in and allow it to slowly kill me. I feel like I’m rambbling now. Blahhh.

  9. Sherlock panted gently against John’s cheek as he averted his gaze from the older man’s arousal, standing at attention against Sherlock’s stomach after a night spent in close proximity. Its warm, insistent presence, recalling John’s desire to share himself with the pale, long-legged man in his bed, roused something in said desired detective.
“John, I think you should know that while I’m flattered by your interest,” Sherlock murmured in a deep morning voice into the doctor’s ear, “I may need a demonstration on your part of er… what exactly to do about it.”
John’s teasing smile pressed into Sherlock’s jaw as his fingers were happy to oblige.

  10. Alice held the little doll out for her father to see.

    “Daddy, look!”
    “What is it?”
“Mommy!” The little girl had taken her favourite doll and dressed her almost exactly to match her mother.
“She’s beautiful, sweet.” Alice then showed him the doll’s ‘voice’, singing her mother’s favourite song. What neither of her parents had realised since the day of her birth was that she had a voice second in beauty only to her own mother. She happened to walk in at that very moment, with wide eyes.
    “It’s beautiful.”

  12. The demonstration was a silly thing, really, since they all knew that the people on the stage were sure bets to get into the academy. But the dean, well, he had his. . . philosophies, you could say, and demanded that they give the usually required demonstration anyways. The rest of the staff and I, well, we though that it was more of an event to attract people to our school, but nothing could be done to stop the man.

  15. demonstration is not something i enjoy doing. i would rather have something demonstrated to me than demonstrate something to others because of the immense pressure of doing it right, flawlessly, creating an idealistic way of performing said action and demonstrating incorrectly may result in a flawed future.

  19. Jim Avery, the fireman, doused the cooking pan in lighter fluid and tossed in a match, the red flames roaring into the air and touching the ceiling of the classroom. Time to teach the kids in home economics on how to properly use a fire extinguisher. Except there was something missing…the fire extinguisher itself. He left his back at the station and the classroom didn’t have one.

  22. I went down to the demonstration to see what shit the capitol had dolled out in the form of their stupid police today. It was Gale. I ran on stage and ripped the whip from the hands of the newest head of police and hit him across the face with it knowing that I’d get just as bad, if not worse of a punishment for doing so. I didn’t care. That was my friend. And what ever it was that he’d done to deserve the lashing was only out of self-preservation and in an attempt to feed his own family.

  29. Here, allow me to demonstrate for you how NOT to be a good friend. Step 1, be clinically depressed. Step 2, refuse any and all forms of help for said clinical depression, opting instead to use your friend as a crutch for your crippling sadness and self-loathing. Step 3, take advantage of your friend’s kindness and guilt-trip them into spending every waking moment of their day with you, even though she is a solitary being by nature and needs a certain number of lonely hours each day to keep sane. Step 4, make these waking moments even more unbearable by constantly belittling yourself, refusing any and all compliments and attempts at consolation, and becoming sullen at the mention of random, perfectly mundane things such as friends and fun.

    Repeat.

They threw torm up bits of sandwich crusts to the magpies, they discovered the Magpie Dreaming. They were tired of their lot, and were going to make a stand.

  39. “Now, listen up here, folks. I’ll begin the demonstration in just a moment, but I want to be sure that I have everyone’s attention, please!” The curly-haired brunette raised her hands. “Hello, yes, excuse me. Yes.” She nodded and waved. “Good, thank you all. Now, this demonstration will take place in two parts.” She gestured towards one half of the arena. “As you are aware, this is the final stage in your coming of age cremony and you will be judged in several categories, which will be tallied at the end and your score will determine what skill level you are awarded for your efforts.

    The bell sounded.

Across the arena, several young men and women stepped into the muddy ring. The tallest young man drew a short sword and rolled to the left. The others followed suit, retrieving their gifted weapons and spreading out across the oval fighting space.

“Three, two, fight!” The woman called out.

The monsters were released and the battle began.
