icing

It tastes delicious on top of any cake. Sometimes I it’s used with Marzipan, which is nice, on Christmas cake traditionally. I eat it sometimes, from the packet, or from the bowl, I have a sweet tooth. It makes the cake.

bucket

I think of my brain as a bucket. And my training. And my life. It can only hold so much, so i need to be choosey with what i put in it. eventually, I’ll need to take things out to put stuff in, so really i should only be putting the most important stuff in there.

configuration

pits

I ate the cherries pits and all, and the pits sank into my gut like little bullets of life, life that would not flourish in the whorling vortex of my gut.

switching

Back and forth. Why not? Patterns? Switch the negative ones. Make them positive. Partners? Take your time. Positions? Always. Try new. Try lots and lots of new. New is good. Scary and new is even better. Switch yourself, constantly.

What is necessity? Is it that snack every few hours, or that extra bit of cash to get that new pair of shoes that you must have? what has necessity become.

monitor

See the two “o”s in “monitor”? They are eyes looking at you, looking through you, monitoring your every move. Don’t move. You’re being surveilled by camera monitors right now. Smile.

I backspaced through the word to delete it but hit the wrong key and deleted the whole document, all seventy-seven pages. Achh! I shouted, then threw the laptop on the stone floor, shattering it. Can I go back in time? Back in space? Backspace?

Ok, so my hands are short. Don’t mock me. I hate that nickname. “Hey shorthand, why don’t you hand me that shovel?” Ah, eck you. My hands are not that short. They are delicate. Dainty. Digital.

instrumental

The instrumental accompaniment was perfect for a play like The Winter’s Tale. Stripped down, elemental, elegant, and useful. Isn’t that a root meaning of “instrumental,” that it serve as an instrument? That it do something? That it be useful? As opposed to “art for art’s sake”?

They are round and different shapes. They are the messengers of hope as they symbolize a celebration of sort. They do not belong at parties but rather other places where they are much more appropriate. Balloons can lift the spirit.

There was a slight chance of showers today, but that meant nothing to him. For the rain didn’t bother him at all. In fact, he enjoyed the wet weather. There was no way he could pass up on this opportunity to go for a leisurely stroll.

Temper is generally considered a bad thing, and yet paradoxically a good thing as well. Society respects those with an “even” temper, yet also idolizes those who are able to stand up, speak their mind, and challenge what has been said.
