Just one simple step. He prayed silently to himself. One step and he would be that much closer. I waited with baited breath for him to just lift his tiny little leg

emotions. I’m thinking of emotions instead of things having to do with motion. Kinetic? Oh, wait. That’s energy. Kinetic and potential energy. Why am I saying this instead of something to do with motion? Walking, running, skipping, jogging, singing. Why did I say singing? I guess that’s motion of the vocal chords. I’m not sure, I guess any verb is really a motion. Unless it’s a linking verb or helping verb. Wow, I don’t know what I’m saying.

saturday is a time to relax. To sit and read a book, watch tv, drink tea, whatever. But only if the cousin doesn’t come and spoils it with his science malarky. Urgh, I hate that. I want to learn chess though, so I must wait until I can. Damn!!

This word reminds me of computers. Other than that, my mind is blank. I don’t like this word. It his ‘fig’ in the middle of it. That freaks me out. I am odd with words.

the thought of dwelling on something is to observe it for a matter of time and then enter into a pensive state of mind. Sometimes to dwell can be a good thing; it can give one more insight on a certain topic or subject matter. But I have found that to dwell, for the most part, can be negative, as it causes a person to overthink something that doesn’t need to be over thought. A lot of times when we dwell, we tend to worry.

Fractures hurt. You know that. Just the word will shoot pain through your leg or your arm. But when it actually happens, it’s completely unimaginable. Why do we associate pain with words? It’s just a simple word. It doesn’t exist in matter. It doesn’t poke you, or prod your nerves. Maybe that’s it. It picks at your brain, making you imagine the pain.

I wanted to say I was aloof, but I wasn’t. The attraction was immense and I was completely consumed by it. I was entirely besotted by him.

framework is the building blocks of something. It builds up something and creates the frame for the work you are about to do. It is in teaching, construction, learning, and making friends. This is kind of a dumb word to creatively write about. It’s compound at least.

As i watched the sad woman walk across the parking lot, i pitied her. but then, it struck me that pity was a useless emotion. the wpmen didnt want my pity. what she needed was for people like me to help her instead of pitying her. pity wouldnt change anything and the help couldnt be out of pity. I should help her because it would be the right thing to do.

The mayor of the small town of Bloomsburg was just starting his day, sitting in his small, bright kitchen with his usual cup of coffee and morning newspaper, when he heard a small knock on the front door. Surprised that anyone would pay him a visit at this early hour, he opened the door to find a young girl staring up at him with round, pleading eyes.
“Well, hello!” he exclaimed. “What are you doing out so early this morning little girl?”
The young girl just continued to look at him, with trembling lips and hands that were squeezing each other so hard he was afraid they would fall off.

He was the mayor of the town and she was a little girl in the crowd, but somehow she felt a connection to him. She saw the blue in his eyes and thought she saw the sadness she always seemed to wake up with. She knew he wasn’t looking directly at her…but it sure felt like that.

I never been to a cathedral. I know they are beautiful structures built somewhere in Europe. I don’t know much about them though. But I kind of want to study the older structure and architecture, and put it into my designs.

Switching, unswitching and reswitching things. And I couldn’t bear it any longer and so I left and shut the door behind me. My God, that girl was getting on my nerves.

A racket?! That’s what they got me? I don’t even play tennis. Oh someone’s in danger of receiving awful christmas gifts this year. That is, me and other people.
» Posted By Laura On 06.10.2012 @ 12:51 pm
I then stumbled upon an old racket. “That’s weird” I thought. No one in my family has ever played tennis before. I thought it could be borrowed but that was weird too because we didn’t know of anyone who played tennis. A gift then, maybe?

The day to leave the nest is coming. I might not be ready but if I don’t try how will i know? It’s time to grow as much as I can out of the nest.

He sat in the cocoon. Hoping the world wouldn’t crumble in around him. The nest was warm. It had some faults sure, it wasn’t a nice house or a mansion on the rocks but he was safe and hidden there. hidden from the frightening things that circle around each person in this world.

Jelly shoes – pink, plastic….they look so cute but they hurt so bad. I only had the one pair from Jamesway. They smell like candy and makeup and little girl jewelry. In the 80s, there was nothing like them – so new, like Crocs only better.

I like jelly. It squishes out the sides of my globby, gloopy over-buttered sandwich and makes me feel young again. Sometimes I want to run around the house afterwards and put my hands all over the windows, just to prove I still can.

jelly is squishy and sometimes yummy. it goes on bread and it quite delicious. I like to use it with peanut butter. there are some songs about it. Its very interesting. They used jelly to make the ET noises. peanut butter jelly time. jelly is cool.

Treaty. It’s what starts a government perhaps. Ends wars. Mends relations. Gives things back. Perhaps it causes a new slurry of conflicts. Another country. Another war. Who knows what a treaty actually solves.
» Posted By Laura On 06.05.2012 @ 9:51 pm
In APUSH, we are learning about the Treaty of Paris. Every single treaty is named the Treaty of Paris. Seriously. Couldn’t they have their treaties elsewhere?

He didn’t want to be a superhero. He really didn’t. He yearned being back in the war with Bucky and Peggy, the days when everything wasn’t taken over by new technologies. But often Steve Rogers was someone who did the right thing because they just felt right to do. And that was how he ended up in a Star Spangled outfit surrounded by the rest of the Avengers. Tony Stark stood in his relaxed yet pompous way, and was currently arguing with Pepper about something. Bruce Banner was talking happily with Thor, who wore a confused look on his face. Natasha was pointing something out to Renner and the two spies hung out at the back of the room quietly. Sometimes being a superhero was tiring, but a lot of the times, they made him miss his old life less. This group of misfits filled in the gaps and he was proud to be their leader.
“Hey, Cap, what are you smiling about?” Stark finished talking with Pepper and gave him a strange look.
“Nothing. I’m just… happy,” Steve replied.
“Well,” Stark smirked. “Good.”

The cap was red and was beautiful. It sat atop the head of an old man wearing a brown suede jacket. He sat on the park bench and munched on a piece of stale bread, while staring off into space. Hmmm where to go today, he thought.

IT’S A BARE NECESSITY.

I needed to get something. I needed it more than anything else. Once, there was a time when I didn’t have these needs. Now, I do. I need love. I need to be told “I love you”. I tell them but they won’t say it back. I need them to say that. It’s tearing me apart inside. It’s ripping up my soul not to hear it.
