seeking approval from others takes a lot of effort and energy. why do we waste so much of our time doing this activity then? what is the payoff? why is others approval so much more meaninfgul than our own> unless seeking this approval is from someone totally and completely awesome, then i dare say stop doing it

I dare you to write about the word dare. I think of truth or dare, but I always chose truth because I was too chicken to do a dare. I was afraid that they would suggest something I wouldn’t want to do. I was very hesitant as a child and not a risk taker at all. I am more of a risk taker now but hardly a dare devil.

I’ve never felt trapped in a way where I can’t get out. I have felt that trapped feeling but only slightly. Some people really get trapped that their solution is suicide. It’s awful and I wish I can help those people breakaway.

Methodology. Advertising and public relations class on how to advertise. Project about the media and women’s body image. What a terrible correlation, to ruin someone’s body image!

When i was in tech, I desperately wanted to be the prop master. Being the prop master is what the show depends on. An actor doesn’t have to be good at acting if they have a good prop, the audience will still love it. If i was prop master, I’d pick the most realistic props. Unrealistic props draw the attention of the audience in a negative way.

The holder was staring at me from the window sill. Filled with memories, it was painful to go near but at the same time to painful to look at.

I changed the fuses for the last time. I had finally done it, I was free. I won the lottery. My job was useless, to me at least. I could travel, Do what I had always wanted to do. I was free at last. Finally.

I read them like I already know what they are going to tell me. Every day there is a new one added to the list, I just can’t escape this feeling of judgement. People telling me how to live my life as if they think they know me. What will happen if I just throw this list into the fire and live my life?

What if you were accused of something you didn’t do? You are at the mall running for the bathroom when the cops catch up with you and accuse you of stealing an item of clothing from Forever 21. You’re a suspect. Did you do it? No. But you’re still a suspect. You were on the wrong place at the wrong time.

» Posted By Laura On 07.20.2012 @ 11:26 pm

Suspects. Maybe one or two or three. How do they know who did it anyway? Why do they always have to blame someone? They always pick the wrong one. The suspect always ends up in jail. The suspect ends imprisoned and maybe he wasn’t the right one.

I have no idea what sonar is so i can’t really write very much about it, but, erm, it sounds like the word solar so it may have something to do with light, or space? I don’t really know, but yeah, erm, cool, so, erm.. this is awkward. >.> la la la la… le fin.

She hung the happy birthday letters across the fire place mantle. Hanging dangerously close to the fire cooking below. It was a cozy house, Ester had to admit. Although the decorations were tacky, she felt at home in this strangers home.

they fill your house and give an idea of who you are. maybe it’s why they are so hard to choose and coordinate. yet it’s an amazing way to express yourself ain’t it

I am holding the doorknob sweating with anxiety, anxiety of what may occur if I ever turn it, if I decide to move my hand clockwise and proceed enter your home. Will you be there sitting in your chair comme d’habitude? Will you pin me down and demand answers, answers to questions I will never understand? Perhaps you fancied going out to dinner with your concubine and I got here just in the nick of time. Oh please please please I beg of you, don’t be there, don’t sit in that rouge velvet chair by the window holding the newspaper in one hand and a frying pan in the other waiting to cook my heart for dinner; don’t be there waiting to plunge the proverbial knife hiding beneath your tongue as you write my name in the obituary with the blood spilling from my nonexistent heart. I promise I’ll be quick, it’s only that notebook hiding beneath the mattress, that is all I require.
Slowly the knob moved clockwise my hand’s grip was weak with perspiration, deep sighs and a quick heartbeat ensued as the light of the back window shined upon my eye. I peeked inside and…

Me student advisor was a latin man named Jonathan, I have a fish named Jonathan so it made me laugh. I felt like when we were talking about my schedule, he just wanted to move, I wanted more attention from him- though i wasn’t attracted to him.

A suggestion to find a new film to love, is a tough suggestion for sure. The personality of one who is following a suggestion of another matters highly in what is to occur in the end.

Okay my mind has gone completely blank! Admittedly I was hoping for a word more along the lines of cow or something that I can roll with. ‘Suggestion’ makes me feel a little lost! It doesn’t feel definate or secure, it’s all aloof and mysterious! How do I work with aloof and mysterious?! Was I meant to write a story here? Or say something funny! I epically failed if so!!

Spinning faster and faster, my whole body is dizzy with thought. Stop me now before I can no longer move anything but my mind.

Wind turbines cranked overhead, their “whoosh-whoosh-whoosh” murmuring in the sky. They scared me as a child, like the electric fans of giants…

I have a bucket list. Probablly too many things on my bucket list for me to ever accomplish but somethings have been accomplished. Like having a child. Like finding myself. Like knowing the truth of a situation. Some have not been accomplished yet. Like going to Italy. Like writing my great american novel. Like riding in a hot air balloon.

overalls. I only wore them when I was young. And they’re kinda being worn now-a-days, at least I’ve seen a couple of girls. Who knows?

I never got detention that much in high school. It happened more in middle school, but now that i’m thinking about it, not really. I remember one time my friends told the teacher to let me go because I wasn’t included in why we were all in detention. I was glad but I felt kinda bad.

I always hated science. Well not really but I hated it more as I finished up my high school years. Why? Well I took biology 3 times and I finally passed it the 3rd time. It felt good, especially because I aced it! best feeling ever. And I learned a lot!

» Posted By Laura On 07.05.2012 @ 8:55 pm

I have never been fond of science. Always a right or wrong answer. Percent errors, percent yeilds, it’s not my thing. Sure, I’m good at it, but I hate it because it’s not me. It’s yes or no, black or white, but never both.

I don’t know what they are really, I’ve heard of them and I know they’re something to do with the internet. Maybe they get the signal or something? I think they break often and cause me problems, but I also know they are very necessary because I spend lots of time on the internet. My Dad probably knows what a modem is.

The train was coming…tracks of the railroad cranking along. People stare at the oncoming collision. What happens….no one ever knows…as the train on the railroad tracks keeps moving forward.

I harness the snake, ready to kill it. But the snake lashes back, angry. I know it hates me for killing its sister, but i had no choice. She broke my heart and left me for dead. And know, this is my revenge. On the sister snake.
