if i had a kid i think i would be scared that they would be like me. i know that some people want that from their kids but i would never want mine to pick up my habits. i know how they have caused me to struggle so i would never want someone else to go through that. i guess i gotta beat them so no one else picks em up huh?

Maybe one day, I’ll write songs and sing on an album and it will go platinum.

Is that even a word? Alarmist? Someone who sets alarms? Someone who stops alarms? Someone who is alerted when an alarm goes off? Or maybe it’s someone who is alarmed all the time! Just totally alarmed, every moment of every day. Alarmist. It doesn’t even look like a word anymore.

The tires skidded along the worn pavement, jolting over the unsteady patches and bumps in the tired road. She sat in the car and cried, trying to drive through the waterworks streaming down her cheeks.

Why is this even a prompt?

I don’t think or breathe. I see you and the whole world stops. I spin, in orbit, around you, my sun. Without a thought, you are the focus and I swing around mindlessly, ignoring the jeers and stares of the others. They don’t understand. They’ll never understand the automatic pull you have over me.

And she knew now that it wouldn’t just be enough to sit and watch the world. Time was hers, and she must use that to her advantage. It was obvious that waiting would do nothing but still her heart… she was much too young for that. It was time to start again.

I woke up this morning and had to fight off a clutch of chickens. This was the least of my problems, becasue I knew i was going to loose my legs today.

Radically new ideas. What seems ridiculous, but will indeed change our world. It takes the radical to live the practical. Without insanity, there can be no normalcy. We are defined by the radical.

There is a castle on a cloud. I like to go there in my sleep. Aren’t any floors for me to sweep… not in my castle on a cloud. There is a lady all in white, holds me and sings a lullaby. She’s dah dah dah and she’s soft to touch. She says, “Cosette, I love you very much.”
Forget the lyrics, love the song.

Warfare breaks my heart. Why are we doing this, killing the people of our planet? It’s the saddest thing we could ever do, dropping bombs. Really. Massacre of our brothers and sisters… I can’t even comprehend the severity of the situation. And although I am supportive of the soldiers themselves, I couldn’t be more against their task. Killing is wrong.

I try to give it. I receive it a lot from people who have no idea what they’re talking about. Sometimes I get random questions on tumblr that I try to fumble and answer… to no avail. I think that advice can only be taken so far: you have to come up with your own plan. It’s a fine line between helpful and controlling.

I just read this book about a Boy Scout group in which one teen dies on a hiking trip from lack of water. So I picture them running through the brush, stumbling, trying to find any liquid to save themselves. Or Scout, from To Kill a Mockingbird, which is really quite a good book. Books, I suppose.

I adore this word. I like to think it describes me. Compassionate, loving, caring. I would like to incorporate compassion into my career someday. It’s the main thing we’ve got going for us humans. Love. Hugging each other. Empathy. I wish we all had more of that. Makes me sad that our world is so lonely.

Hope springs eternal. Birth, the birth of all that is fresh and all that is new. Finally being able to breathe again. Clear skies and seeing the moon during the day. Morning moon with fluffy clouds. Feeling like anything could happen in that moment, because there is CLEAN. FRESH. SPRING.

This is final. There is no going back. Once the words are spoken, once the actions are complete, nothing can be removed. Your life can and WILL change immediately. In the blink of your eye, everything you know is gone. You are convicted… nothing is the same. Change.

i think of books. a lovely library… buried underneath and in between the rows of literature. the smell, the aroma, of old books. knowing that you can and will be instantly transported to any and every world possible. possibility. wonder. READING. i sit in libraries almost every day, and never get sick of being surrounded by books. exquisite. exquisite beauty.

oh dear, i just wrote about this, when i wasn’t signed in.

iron. strength. tough, inside and out. perseverance, but with a hint of vulnerablity: rust. water, the smooth and silky, can break down the strong outer edge. no one knows what will happen next. hmm. iron. yes, iron.

» Posted By Kira On 10.09.2011 @ 10:49 pm

iron. steel. i think of being strong, being hard, tough. being able to do anything without a second thought, but being completely SURE in what you’re doing as well. Hugh Jackman, in a way: the Wolverine costume. all that, knowing what you want. you don’t just have to have an iron body; you can have an iron soul as well: you don’t back down.

i was warned about you and everything you came with. i didn’t listen. people were warned about the bomb for years. never happened. what does that say about our anxiety? is that projected onto their kids? i think so…..i really think they wanted us to be scared.

There was something different about her. The way she combed her auburn hair, or the way she studied her texts so meticulously as if the very thought of forgetting a single sentence would be the death of her. Among her peers, she didn’t fit. Her nature was not a sociable one, and they isolated her as she tried to isolate herself.

“As division chair of this committee, I don’t think that we should use shovels to kill the zombies. I’m sure that my grenades would be far more effective. What’s that? Shovels have a higher cool factor? Fine. We’ll put it to a vote.”

I’ve have a few offers in my life time, but I suppose the best one was just recently. This offer served as the gateway to the rest of my life. It was a golden opportunity that many yearn for, and I am grateful for being able to take hold of it. Patience always pays off.

I repeated to myself what he said. :I love you…I love you…I love you…I cringed at the words. I didn’t want to hear them. Not now, not ever, but especially not now. What could I say in response?

» Posted By Kira On 08.16.2011 @ 8:35 pm

Why? Why do you repeat the same thing, the words I hate the most hearing. You tell me over and over but my head just won’t listen, because I am too stubborn. Maybe you should just put an end to it.

» Posted By Kira On 08.16.2011 @ 3:11 pm

Repeat the words that you’ve already said. It’s so annoying when you’ve made the point clear yet is seems no one seems to hear you. You must need to speak up or else they need to hear better.
