I think of rich people. Of acres and acres of green, luscious grass, with rolling hills. A huge, white mansion, maybe with a ranch in the back. For the horses and whatnot. I picture the owner as a pleasantly overweight Southern man, with an intense mustache and a cowboy hat. And I just tricked the site into giving me more time, on accident. Basically, when I think of estates, I either think of rich Southern families or even richer English families. I would love to randomly inherit an estate in London. It’s my dream place to live. Dad thinks I’m nuts.

The sound of drowning is not a beautiful sound.
It’s ironic when you think about it, because so many aspects of water are beautiful.
There is such a thing as too much of a good thing.

Platinum is a metal used to make wedding rings. It has become popular recently due to its brilliant shine and color making it an ideal pairing with diamonds or other shiny jewels. Platinum is also a color of hair that looks good on no one.

That’s how my friend Caroline used to sit. Slouched and off-centered, careless, yet cool. A defiant way. Yet in other ways, it can be the result of one who’s seen a tiring life.

some people are very dim. dim witted. slow, out of touch, not connected, unable to articulate, understand or interact. i think sometimes I am surrounded by them.

One rule I’ve learned is to never say never. I swore I would never be with someone who cheated on me. I swore I wouldnt be with someone for money. I swore I would never stay with someone I knew I wouldn’t want to be with forever. I swore this time was different.

They fluttered from the sky like angels or flower petals but really they were all my work. Down like scraps of confetti.
The butterfly corpses fell to my feet, first monarch then emperor and birdwing and the rest to follow, their hearts stopping one by one.

I could almost cry as I was engulfed by the red hues around me. I picked up a fallen leaf and made a wish. If only I could he see this beauty with me. There was nothing quite like autumn that could intensify my longing.

She eyed the vehicle as if she were looking at a prize. Lust was evident in her eyes. She was tired of dealing with public transport all day. She wanted nothing more that to have her own.

it was wet. the water. Naturally. yet how wet it was still surprised me despite from learning at a very early age that water has a tendency to be wet. The umbrella kept the top half of my body dry but from the waist down it was useless

She looked straight at his unreadable eyes. She felt small underneath his gaze. His knowledge was above and beyond hers. Would her mind be able to reach the same depths? He merely smiled with a twinkle in his eye.

It was like she had just gulped lungfuls of air after nearly drowning. Nothing held her back now. She could almost touch the sky as she smiled.

I wish I had one. It’s stability and love and everything that I don’t have, but everything that I want. Yet at the same time, I don’t want one due to all the governmental paperwork and processing and all the bullshit in case something happens. I want one in theory and physically, but not written on paperwork. I suppose it represents love to me, so I want that. Love.

Scouting For Boys, a book written in turn of the century gave advice for how to save someone who’s hung himself or tried to kill himself. I thought this was weird because the book is written for young boys who want to be boy scouts. Who wants to teach 10-year-olds that?

I don’t think I have a lot of compassion, which is sad because a lot of people see it as a desirable trait. I can’t help but not feel sorry for people who get themselves into situations and then expect help and people to feel sorry for them. It might make me a cold, mean person but I can’t help it. I don’t feel sorry for people who fucked up on their own.

Compassion is something not everyone possesses. We all like to think we do but truly having compassion is actually something more difficult than most like to admit. Having real compassion for someone else requires looking within, which far too many refuse or have the capability to do.

i never could braid my hair. one time my mom tried to braid my hair, in fourth grade, and it looked horrible. i guess that’s why i never was able to braid, because my mom never taught me how. my mom, who never taught me to braid, also never taught me to open up. or let others in. or lots of things. and she’s not around much anymore, and i don’t know how to let her back in. b/c she never taught me how.

i feel like i have no port. like i’m kinda lost at sea. maybe like a little boat. like a tug boat. maybe because i’m thirty and still see myself as a lost little kid. talk about arrested development, right? but yeah. i’m like a little tug boat. with no port to doc at.

marine’s life, from port to port. never knowing when the next suprise trip could be. not knowing if it will be for three months or 3 years. who will you meet, a life long friend, or a wife. who did you leave behind. your pet, your life? how awesome it sounds to travel this way, a life with unattachments or a heart big enough to carry everyone and everything you love in such a small compartment….

Salt brings out the taste in other foods. Poor salt, it’s job is to just make other foods better and to keep them from rotting. But it doesn’t get to be appreciated for salt on its own. It’s use is only measured by what it adds to other foods.

i feel like i am sinking to the bottom of the earth. Life is so daunting sometimes. You want to laugh, have fun and do everything you want. but sinking in debt tends to come along with that fun. I love sinking to the bottom of a clear river.. it is pretty there. not so much in a mucky one.. sinking to the bottom there will get you dirty! You want to make sure that you do not lose anything.. a sinking phone is no bueno.. as well as sinking keys. unless they sink to the bottom of a glass.. then you can easily grasp them. sinking in sink holes.. blows as well.

Thread a pass on a basketball court. It takes skill to put the ball in the right hands to score. To get it there inbetween defenders is to thread the ball. Much like a quarterback must do in footballl.
