Down the street, kids play in the yard. The ball, kick back and forth. Not thinking about more than the game, the fun, the fresh air, the time away from homework. Bounce, kick, run, shriek. Then, of course, one off kick and it’s into the street. Good thing those breaks got fixed last week!

It was a quiet morning on the lake. No wind, so the water had a glass-like shimmer. No wind, so the trees were standing silent. The only murmer Shiela could hear was the shuffle of a tiny rabbit through the underbrush. It was a gentle morning in Maine.

I went over the hill with Jack, and he pushed me down. I went home and told mom, but she was too busy cooking. I went outside with Jack and told him to go back up the hill with me then pushed him down. Revenge is sweet.

The width of the chest wasn’t almost equal to it’s length. It was a cream color with a purple lock. Making it that much more enchanting. No one could figure out how to open this mysterious chest, so she made it her mission to figure this out.

Bamboo bongs are simple to make. There are places for bases between every 6-10 inches. All you need is a stem and a drill. Drill a hole into the bamboo, insert your stem– fill it, and go! A man from Vietnam taught me this while I was working at a head shop. Way to go, old ArmyMan!

So, on your shied or with it or some such. I used to be for some people when you go to war either you die or win and what the frak. Wouldn’t, even if you’re a warrior jerk off, wouldn’t you miss SOME people?

Stripes make me look fat. I don’t like to wear stripes. There are 13 fake stripes on our nation’s flag. They are blood. The flag is full of blood. Stars and stripes. I don’t know much about stripes.

The bike was bright red. I had dreamed of owning a bike for a long time. We had a wagon that we would go barreling down the hill. The crashes were sometimes a lot more fun than the ride. But now with the bike I would be able to careen down the hill with fineese and grace.

buzz, buzz, buzz, hot sunshine waves across the meadow, waves of heat and sunshine and flowers waiting to open to bees.

Bees are wonderful. they make such a weird noise. People usually hate them, but personally i think they are beautiful insects. they love flowers, just like me! I like honey too. so thank goodness for bees!

I have never owned mittens. I always wanted to, although I never knew what they were, when I was younger. They sounded like “muffins” therefore I thought they must be good. As I got older my love for mittens disappeared and so did the disappointment at Christmas when I didn’t get them. We don’t go to the mountains much anymore and it doesn’t snow where I live, so I guess I’m nowhere near being sad anymore, but ever since I started writing on this page I thought, I wonder if my life would’ve been different if I had ever owned mittens?

Trot along now and get done what you need to, like I am some little kid who needs to be told to get things done. I just wish the deciding of which thing to do first was easier. Trotting is a piece of cake.

My hand ran through the white snow that gathered on the counter under my mother’s fingertips. it felt odd against my smooth skin, rougher and warmer than I expected. “this isn’t snow mommy… snow is cold”. My mother laughed and continued kneading the dough that she had between her fingertips. Not dough. that’s not what she called it. Masa. What was masa. The kids at school laughed at my mother’s differentness… as words like masa and enchilada.

Orchid, flower, reminds me of when I worked at a place that sold them. Nice flowers, very touchy. Not sure I would want to try and raise them. Might be tougher than I expect.

I asked about permission the other day and was told I had to have permission to ask a question. Since I did not have the required permission I therefore could not ask about it.

globes are made of plastic generally. they’re round, and show the world’s geography. where countries, oceans, rivers, mountains, cities, all kinds of things are. probably the easiest way to look at the world from on the surface. you can spin them around, and see what the world would look like from an astronaut’s point of view.
