obsolete

Lot’s of things are obsolete. Attitudes are obsolete. People are obsolete. Am I obsolete? For many I might be. I don’t feel obsolete, though.

purpose

My purpose in this life was always to love my father. I couldn’t… I killed him for a reason, a very good reason. Now that I’m here, I’d like to apologize to him, to my borther and my mother for not being with them in the funeral. But I hope they understand. Hell is no paradise.

bee

There once was a bee named Carlos. He was the hardest working bee of all the bees. Sometimes when Carlos went to collect honey, he would fly the long route to see his girl bee, Jessica. Carlos loved Jessica so much that he died.

wool

My sister once bought me a thick, black, wool coat. I remember smiling like an idiot when I first saw the thing. Now I look at it and it’s hard not to remember the cancer. But, I like to lose myself in memories of when she was still around.

alarm

I fucking hate alarms. I hate the way I sleep through them. I hate the fact that I need one, and yet it never seems to pull through for me. I have broken and and reparied, and rebooted enough alarms for me to hate sleeping.

whiskers

“Hey you can’t go in there, jackass,” said the lady with the gruff voice, as our man attempted to enter the rear entrance to the brothel.

The man could have been polite and merely referred to the lady’s mustache as whiskers, but he had just finished up a bad day at work.

table

The table never was very pleasant looking, but that didn’t seem to matter now that it was smashed into a million pieces amongst large piles of rubble. The storm didn’t seem to care what houses it knocked down; poor houses, rich houses, happy houses, sad houses. It just didn’t matter.

calling

Calling this morning never seemed to be a difficult thing. It was almost routine–with the exception, of course, that I knew the person on the other line was not going to pick up.

tide

As I walked through the beaches of Mexico, in Acapulco, I could not help but remember the song, Amor Eterno (Eternal Love) by Spanish singer Rocio Durcal, in which she remembers her son who was died in that same beach, trapped by the ocean current.

mineral

Mineral water started out as some fanatical craze when I was growing up. Turns out, this fanatical craze was here to stay. I don’t know, I think it’s something about the word mineral that brings such a natural sophistication to anything.

paperback

Paperback novels meant almost nothing to me when I was younger, just because I consumed them like oxygen. At school, they were a pain to analyze with the requirement of making sure your analysis was the exact match of your English teacher’s.

coffin

Coffins are really…depressing, to say the least. Well, at least to me. Some people aren’t scared of death, but I am, even though I believe something will occur after I leave this Earth.
My life will end, but my soul won’t. Coffins will show me that there will be more than just the materials of this planet…I hope.

cleanse

To cleanse is to free yourself, mainly in the spiritual sense. Yes, you cleanse yourself in the shower, but that is merely a physical way. To truly free your mind and spirit, I feel you must cleanse yourself of all bad thoughts. That’s not to say you’re not subject to being human, but you should also always try to find your true path…that’s what I deem the right way to go.
