I choose to live positively despite what’s happening around me. I choose to speak Truth despite the lies that come. I choose to love despite how I feel. Despite. We must rise above our circumstances and our emotions times, while still acknowledging them. We were born to live and live in victory. So. Let’s live.

Mom’s quilts. Even the sound they make as you drop them onto a carpeted floor is comforting. Stacked together, one on top of another, they make the perfect Princess and the Pea bed for Chuckie. Each one tells a story.

Did you know that you would break my heart? Did you know that your words were like your perfectly manicured fingernails, and would dig down into my chest to puncture the delicate membrane of my heart? Of course you didn’t. A needle doesn’t know its sharpness, just as you don’t know the piercing ferocity of your words.

When I leaned closer to the keyhole ot spy inside, the lace that was tied to a key around my neck slipped loose and fell to the ground with a sharp clink. This is it, I thought, I’m bound to be discovered now. But the expected footsteps that soon followed did not come from inside the dark room, but from behind me.

It wasa horrible day to be stuck in a three-hour saturday detention. It was beautiful outside- sunny, perfectly warm, with butterflies and twittering birds and posies and the like. And, it was the day after the last day of school.
How did Sara get detention during the last five minutes of high shcool, you ask? sipmle. she punched a kids lights out.
she had good reason!
he had insulted her friend, her friend’s family, had made poor Jessica cry. Cry! And Jessica was a strong girl. She rarely, if ever cried, and this kid’s words drove her into gulping sobs.

Something that happens automatically, even if you aren’t actually moving. I’ve always had trouble learning Newton’s theories about motion and the law of gravity and such, but I see motion as such a simple thing to understand. Motion is what’s happening right now, as I’m typing, or as I’m sitting. The world is always in motion which makes us be in motion constantly. When I play piano I am in motion. This intense motion with so much emotion…haha see what I did there? But it’s special and I feel like there’s more to it than just the laws of motion and what everybody else sees.

brittle bones. doctors don’t embellish the truth; it is as bad as it sounds. perhaps even worse. she cried six thousand tears & then went to bed, exhausted by her imagination screaming ideas of what could happen.

I have a fear of falling and being unable to walk because of the various fractures I may have. At my age brken bones are more common that for folks under 60.
They do have many p[ain pills to relieve the suffering however the length of time it takes toi recuperate can be longer than we may expect.
So be careful when walking to be on guard to sidewalks that are uprooted because of tree roots or pot hole made by passing cars in the street.

i once knew a girl names Erica mayer. I know thats not the same as mayor, but it soudns the same at least.
I know who the mayor of my city is – i saw him up close on canada day last year. He was ppretty charming, actually. But I guess thats half the job, right – putting a face to the city. Do they even have much impact at all?

there was a racket on the tennis court that day. a broken racket. whoever thought of leaving a damaged racket on such a newly furbished, and pristine court must be nuts. i mean, in comparison with the rest of the order around the stadium that racket caused much disruption. so much that it made noise – the noise of defeat.

I was walking on a dark street in the misty light when I saw him. He was large, a bit scary, carrying a big gun. I couldn’t run; all I could do was stare. Then he noticed me. He inched closer and closer as my body was frozen with fear. What could I do? Who could I call?

Open mouth, lick lips, savor, breathe, wrap you tongue around it, take it in with your eyes, taste all the flavors. Is it hot or cold, soft or mushy, tart or sweet? It is sweet or sour, dry or moist? What do you taste? What do you smell? How does is feel on your tongue? Do yuo want more, is one bite enough? What color is it? Do you want to share? Have you had it before or is this the first time?

happy, colorful, joyous, birthdays, children, bright colors, big number balloons for Delaney’s birthday. Blowing away in the wind, sad that’ it’s gone, but fun to watch fly away. Love Mylar balloons.

it was a strange sound. like rain in a bathtub full of foam. the pooping made me smile. her voice carried over the static. “reta? RETA!” i snapped back to reality.

I was choking on the smoke in the room,
I knew that any slight movement would make everyone stare at me. I could not cough nor calmly gag on the disgusting fragrance in the air; then everyone would know I was out of place.

I stared into the trunk of my car. Ugh, not again.
“C’mon! We’ll be late!” my wife shouted, grinning. We were heading to the birthday party of her best friend. My one job for this big evening had been the gift. And I’m pretty sure you can guess where I’m going here.
I stared into the trunk. I should be more specific- I stared into the empty trunk. Unless Stacy wanted a gum wrapper or lone tennis ball for her birthday, we were out of luck.
But as I saw the eagerness in my wife’s eyes, the excitement for her best friend. I just couldn’t disappoint her like this.
Tennis ball it is then.

Ratings are stupid. Who came up with them? We rate everything. Our movies, our music, our intelligence, and even our looks. On a scale of 1 to 10 how would you rate how pretty I am? Bull. Don’t rate me because I deserve better. I am better. Rate yourself on a scale of 1 to 10 and see how it feels.

A staple is a connector. It connects many things, but not too many. It is a common thing. Sometimes hard to find. What is a staple in life?

The pattern is swirling. I wonder what it means. Everything has a pattern. Nature is beautiful that way. Exquisite. Even what seems to be random has an order to it. I have to take that idea with my life.

I was at a loss when my family left for snowmobiling. I was all alone! I sit to think about the family members that I have lost. I love my grandfathers! I miss them so much! I felt bad when Matt lost the final football game of his senior year.

when someone dies it is a great loss. It’shard to come back after a loss like that. people lose pets and feel a similar loss. a part of you is also lost when one you love passes away.

There is nothing more lonely than watching the rest of the planets orbit around each other and knowing that you were not, are not, and never will be included in their space party.
