I need a new bookshelf. I can no longer fit my books on my current shelf. Incidentally, my parents have just bought a new shelf, but my mom wants to use it in the kitchen for pots and pans. It wouldn’t even survive in the kitchen. It’d be better in my room.

On my shelf are books about self. Learning, creating and growing of self. A shelf of self and creative self is now the elf upon my shelf.

To drink and drink and not be replenished. Sort of like the thirst for creativity. One needs to constantly drink.

Is not a big house on the hill or the multiple cars in one garage . Success is friends and family who truly care about you and work that you love doing. Success is the joy on someone’s face that you put there. It is in the intamacy of a relationship that is open. It is where you truly feel at home.

Just because we live in the digital age doesn’t mean we don’t have problems, and fears, and families to look out for. Just because we live in the digital age doesn’t mean we don’t have a place in this world just like the rest of you.

She looked out at the audience and suddenly froze up, unable to continue speaking. The boys in the back of the school auditorium were holding up fingers, counting her “ums” and snickering to each other. “Oh my goodness why is this happening to me this should not be happening to me and why am I talking so fast and why do I keep stuttering and why am I sweating so much?” she thought.

As she opened the book the musty smell of stale ink and memories tickled her nose. She turned the thin pages with gentle fingers as her eyes devoured the rich literature. This was a classic, never to be tired of.

The teacher stood at the front of the class, his loud, deep voice soothing in a way but also unsettling. As he lectured on history, it became abundantly clear that he was a man of structure, of order– a man who could be driven crazy by a student carelessly writing on the wrong line.

He approached the girl as slowly as he could, as one might approach an injured bird. He noticed the gash on her arm and sucked in a gasp– he couldn’t believe a person would harm such an innocent child. He wanted to cry, but instead he moved slowly but surely to gently take her hand in his.

I shape my destiny, my outlook, my attitude. I am like a ball of clay, malleable and able to be formed into what I so desire. I alone can shape my world.

travel down the road…thru the woods….someplace you’ve never been before…..with wonder you should wander. absorb the amazing details in your journey. find something you’ve never seen before. explore your thoughts as you travel.

Obsession can strike us for all kinds of reasons. It may be something we want to have, or something we want to achieve. It may involve another person – perhaps we want to be like them, or to be with them. Perhaps we are self obsessed – we want to be the best at everything. It’s never healthy to allow anything to reach obsession!

way too much thinking about it, which usually makes the situation worse or not as good. If you obsess about it, you’ll lose your groove. But, what if your crazy about him, or you really want to figure out how to make it better? Must chill. Go for walk. Read a book.

something someone gives you to show you how to do something. for example (!) giving a demonstration of how to make a cake. you would have one prepared and say this is what it should look like in the end. this is an ‘example’ cake. alternatively it could be an abbreviation of ‘extremely ample’.

She was running out of time. She had to run, and leave her family and everything she knew behind. It was a small sacrifice for her. She had to fight for the good of all mankind, and nothing was going to stop her. Nothing. It was like they said– you’ve got to be strong to survive.

someone who cuts hair. has a lot of character. with a barber shop and that thingy out front. listens a lot. I’ve never been to a barber. I guess they are cool. Don’t actually have a ton to say about a barber. kind of a cool word tho. bar ber. they should work in bars!

» Posted By Susan On 02.25.2011 @ 7:54 am

cuts hair. makes it short. “Mom please don’t make me go to the barber!” Vicious scissors, malicious motives. Barber’s dogs always have wet hair.
Old fashioned nice men go to barbers. They are comforting and trustworthy. Ironic.

The sage tasted bitter in her mouth. It came from the garden where the man grew his concoctions, the concoctions that put her into a fitful sleep fraught with nightmares and torturous music. The agonizing sounds of children screaming would haunt her throughout the night when the man gave her and all the little children the poison.

something your hair does when you sleep on it. something that people do when they get together. something that means things are messy.

When I’m bored I charge my phone so it doesn’t die when I’m using it. Charging is good. Do you have a charger? You should get one. Electricity also has a charge to it.

I don’t like the idea of taking pills to fix things but i am really happy to have aspirin and antibiotics when I need them. I think that we need to look at bodies as systems rather than treating the symptom.
