I see in my mind colorful geometric shapes. Red triangles, blue squares, yellow rectangles. They theoretically shouldn’t fit together, but when you put many together in your mind, on a flat plain, they fall seamlessly into place.

Her skin glistened like bronze in the sunlight, as did the beads of sweat that adorned it. It was freeing, relieving, detoxifying.

Just because you’re alive, certainly doesn’t mean you’re living. Go outside. Feel the air whip against your face in the cold and the sun warm your body in the heat. Never spend a day entirely inside. Skydive. Eat. Swim. Love. Live.

They say love is blind, but I disagree. I think love can make you blind. Blind to a person’s flaws, wrongdoings, etc. Which is glorious and blissful, but also detrimental.

I only wish that I could live without establishing some kind of framework for my life…but how can one entirely eliminate a structure for their future? Even saying that they won’t have one is having one. Catch 22?

Every rose has its thorn, but it’s the thorns that make roses beautiful, in my opinion. This idea that something detrimental and harmful can still be apart of a vision and symbol of beauty- it’s the perfect parable for life.

Everything new shines and glimmers. It’s attractive and exciting and sparkling. But as you get closer, as your senses kick back into gear and your realize that all that glimmer was an illusion…now what?

Your estate can be a term representing what you leave behind in this life. Your physical possessions, the relationships you’ve made, the career you’ve established, and everything else that you will be remembered by. We spend our whole lives trying to make our estates and our legacies a worthy way for people to remember us.

You often have to cross a bridge to get to the next chapter of your life. It may be a treacherous journey, or a simple stroll over calm waters, but you will only find out if you try.

The warmth of the fireplace reminds me of the warmth of the sun when the sun can’t be in the sky. It reminds me that there is sunshine in other parts of the world, and that warmth and light aren’t elements that I should be selfish with, because they make happiness an achievable goal.

I try so hard to slow down my life, but it just seems to hurry ahead of me. How am I supposed to get it together so quickly? My life, my career, my relationships? I need more time. Or maybe it’s all in my head…maybe time isn’t going as fast as I think, but I’m somehow hurrying it up unintentionally.

Sometimes a girl needs evidence that she’s loved. It’s not enough to hear it in passing, or to believe it on her own without the necessary proof. The occasional grand gesture would be nice, but that seems to be too much to ask.

Then the light bulb went off in her head, just before she was about to give her heart to him: he just wasn’t worth it.

The easiest way to figure out if you an love someone for the rest of your life is to lock yourself in a room with them for a day. If you leave stressed and angry, don’t bother. If you leave reminiscing about the past 24 hours, you’ve found him.

Expectations are the worst things to have. When you expect for something to happen and it doesn’t- assuming you were expecting something pleasant- there’s nothing worse than it not happening. Then again, I was expecting the world to end last month and I was pretty happy it didn’t so…

It’s so hard to be honest when every fiber of your logic is telling you not to be…how much easier it would make your life to just lie, coupled with the minuscule chance that you’ll get caught. When is total and complete honesty actually worth it?

There’s nothing better than wading in the water under the beautiful summer sun, glistening…

If morals are meant to mean what we believe in and what we value the most, then abiding by them is natural; but, if morals are meant to mean what the world is supposed to believe in and value in an ideal setting, then theyre just begging to be disobeyed- after all, we’re rebels in our most natural state.

Our history is what makes us. Our blood relatives who came before us. Our ex-boyfriends who we desperately try to forget or desperately try to get back. The history of our country, its hardships and successes. The reason we are who we are.

She believed in hope above all else. Why? Because it’s the one thing that will always be there when you’ve literally lost everything else…when you have nothing to hold on to besides your beliefs, and you pray to god that they will be enough.

What would you do if you knew exactly when you would die? Help plan the funeral, divide your assets appropriately…but how exactly would you feel doing those things? Terrified for the unknown, or gratified with what has passed?

Sometimes, people huddle in corners to hide away from something. I, on the other hand, find corners to be an incredibly comforting place to open up…maybe not to other people, but to myself. That’s why I huddle in corners.

I want to paint my wall with blackboard paint. To expel my creative energy on the walls in my room, my haven. Explaining who I am to the world, and even to myself.

I wake up to it every morning; the dulcet tones of the morning show hosts, the glaring pop music, it’s successful at startling me. But then I never hear it again, till the next morning…a sure sign of the new day that lies ahead, to fix things or make even more mistakes.

Driving in the back of a limo is an incredible experience. But it only happens on such occasions such as prom, VIP service to a concert, on a special date with a particular romantic, etc. It’s a glorious way to travel.

I don’t understand the concept of backpacking. How does one pack their entire life into a 20 x 15 bag? It’s absolutely absurd.
Then again, how much do we really need to live?

Grazing the side of your face
Simultaneously with immaturity
But that air of childishness in your face
Is comparative with that in your heart
And makes me love you
For your sophistication
And even your immaturity

So many things…money, a breath freshener, or even candy for some people? The power to see one word in many different ways is magical, and the reason that we thrive. Our ability for perspective.

She watched as they carried the torches through washington square park. It was her graduation day, and all of a sudden, she was alone. No teachers, no classmates, little to fall back on. It was up to her to make something of her life now, to make it meaningful.

She stood in the phone booth, with no idea what to do. Everything had just been stolen from her by a straggler, leaving her with nothing but the clothes on her body and her desperate fear. She didn’t even have a dime for the phone booth. But then, in the midst of the storm, she saw the light.
