I am scared of airplanes, but they sure do get you where you want to go quickly. Every time I am in one I am afraid it’s going to fall to the ground, but then I try and think of the flight attendants who ride them for a living. They have to be somewhat safe is what I think. Even with that, I still remain edgy anytime I get on a plane. I don’t know that I’ll ever be comfortable on one.

Evidence of mistrust, of something more. Trails leading to the crushing emotions. Tiny hints of something that will end your life as you know it. Evidence. Just a tiny reminder of how fragile we are.

Vintage dress, blowing in the wind. Short and thin girl smiling into the breeze. Loose flock of hair, waving in all direction. Salt spray. Hot air. Cawing gulls. Summer, summer, and a vintage dress.

Okay, that is me. Old but still good for something. How many of us feel like a vintage woman, or person. Who were we, and what happened to us? Antique comes to mind, as well.

The village was peaceful that evening, as the smoking sun lowered itself gently downward against the far hills, and the faint exclamations of gulls could be heard as they soared across the sky. Nothing could be seen that was not contented, nothing could be felt that was not satisfaction.

a group of people who work together to provide food, shelter and safety for their families.

Coal. Black as coal. Mind is red and scary and black – black as coal. The curtains are falling – broken. Black as coal and angry as red exclamations.

happy 4th of July! it’s a national holiday. but i think the only reason we have it is so that people have a reason to use illegal fireworks, and get drunk. well, at least, SOME people use that as an excuse. I sure don’t! Holidays are fun though. Especially Christmas. But today’s not Christmas- it’s the 4th of July; HAPPY BIRTHDAY, AMERICA!!!!!

the storm was coming. people were told it wasn’t supposed to hit until later that evening, but that was a lie. the reporters knew it was a lie, but were forced to tell it anyway. when it hit, the storm hit with so much force, most of the houses were knocked to the ground as if they were blades of grass.

There are very few things I know with absolute certainty. I’m okay with that

mastery has got to be there, hierarchy. there’s got to be an enemy, got to be a friend. anarchism can’t work. you can’t go against the grain if there’s no grain there, and you can’t resent the grain.

if you are the cashier, you can’t resent the manager. being the manager could just be their place in the world.

The crazy thing about a system (not a very poetic word, is it?) is that it’s the old iron chain. One link gets broken, then it’s useless, or at least thrown into disarray. Solar.

Onomatopeia? A sudden explosion (of sound?) and then it fizzles out.

Where to type? Where’s the word I need? What should I write next? Does the reader understand? Probably not, I don’t even understand. Not my best effort. Glah.

Huge towering over the people on the dock making us feel insignificant and important at the same time. A metal monster that carries our friends we bid farewell.

Stacking herb and spice jars kept her busy while mother cooked spaghetti on the stove. Who needs toys?

I just got done coloring a picture of a frog, actually. He was holding crayons in his… hands? What do frogs even have… not paws. Hmm. Feet? Ah, I don’t know. Anyway, I am generally pro-frog. They’re kind of cute. Except when you have to dissect them in science class.

The banjo is an instrument of death. It speaks to the souls of the departed. Banjos should be outlawed and denounced by the church.

Eternal is something that goes on forever. Keep in mind that this isn’t just the arbitary human view of ‘eternal’ – this is the real deal. Human things like love aren’t eternal. Hope is not eternal. Cynicism, however, is.

worshiping those who sould not be worshiped. worshiping those who have big egos and false eyes. why not break through and worship something real. someone real. stop giving so much praise to the people who walk over everyone with their steel toed shoes.
