Every time I get a ticket, I cry. I can’t help it! I mean, it’s only happened like three times so maybe when I get really old a cop will pull me over and I’ll be like “What up?” and not care, but for now, every time I see those lights, my throat feels tights and tears well up. :(

Gross. I used to smoke. I quit and now my teeth aren’t as yellow. That’s only coffee making them yellow. I don’t smell like smoke anymore. In fact, it bothers me. Makes me feel ill. I don’t like cigarettes anymore.

assumptions generally lead to one embarrassing oneself. typically, this embarrassment could have been avoided by the simple act of thinking before one speaks. also…. assuming makes an ass out of you and me.

Donna strode through the gallery, barely seeing the paintings. Tears blurred her vision, and she wiped them away with an angry hand. How could they have done this to her? She’d worked hard and given the job everything she’d had… How could she be fired? How?

He brushed against the wall in his haste, hating the thin corridor more and more by the minute. How had they found him? He’d been so careful… A gunshot fired, and he pushed off running. As long as he kept them away from Darla. As long as his family was safe, this would all be worth it.

Tapping his foot against the floor and checking his watch, Albert impatiently waited for his friend to show up. Until he did, Albert would be forced to just stand here, and he hated to be idle. He wanted to DO something, not just wait around to start.

He collapsed to the floor, his shirt crumpling against the linoleum. He was too tired to continue; too tired to do anything. All over the country he’d chased her, and it was all for nothing.

What a waste of time.

I see the light bulb hanging over me. It tells me to close my eyes, just go away. The smell of gasoline fills my nostrils and causes me to become nauseous. They’re looking at me with some expectations. I don’t know what they want. I can’t hear anymore. I can’t even remember my name.

I close my eyes, and I’m soaring above the earth. For the first time in such a long time I feel free. The wind in my face is proof that I’m not in my sad life anymore. I’m away!

I climbed up the hill slowly and surely. Who knew what i would find on the other side. Freedom? Inner Peace? Destruction? Hell? All i knew was that whatever lay ahead for me, would be a definite improvement of my past.

the strange thing about science is that nothing can ever be proven. i didn’t know this until i really thought about it as a result of reading zen and the art of motorcycle maintenence. no matter how much evidence you gather, there is never enough. throw in a bit of pseudoscience and it gets weirder–how do we know this whole existence isn’t something we make up in our heads? how can we really know what’s going on?

I picked up the evidence. Just one piece of hair and I knew. I knew what i had supposed for many months. My son was no longer a child. He had a girlfriend.

I am left wanting more. More of his mouth, more of his soul, more of his body. All of his body. This wanting is destroying me though. From the inside out. First my heart broke. Then I broke out in hives. Ill have to learn to stop the wanting, or it will be the death of me. Literally.

Upon the mantle she sat. How she got up there, well i guess we’ll never know. Looking, reaching out for imaginary things. She seemed happy. Deliriously happy in fact. Untill she fell.

Are you really afraid of asking the question? You know no harm will come of it? So what is stopping you? I beg of you, just ASK….for me if not yourself. All i want is for you to ask me. Ask me what I want to hear. Please. Otherwise we have nothing left.

OOh a vintage top. And whats more it fits me! Only me. She said this and the potential history of the top came flowing to her mind. A young girl, dancing in the rain. A teenager getting it ripped off in the backseat of her boyfriends car….

She lived in a tiny village in the middle of nowhere. She lived a boring and regular life. She never felt special or loved. She was sad, especially when it rained on the village, which was a pretty common event. But that all changed one day, the one day she went to town.

I was proud. Too proud to give up. So i fought, I fought for you and I fought for us, I fought for our future. All because of my pride. Now, years later, I am sure it wasn’t out of love or compassion. I couldn’t stand to lose, not necessarily to lose you.

I was picking wildflowers and dancing while doing so. There were a few, gorgeously white, fluffy clouds in the sky. Not a sound but the rustling of wheat. I was undeniably happy.

I ran into a brick wall. I mean in the literal sense. You stopped me while I was going full speed. I was so close to falling in love with you, but then, well. You are my figurative brick wall.

Throw it all away! That was her response when i told her we were getting married. Throw it all away. Great. Apparently she does not approve. But I don not care. Not in the least as a matter of fact. Its fate that I throw it all away, throw it all away for you.

i had a glimpse into my future and i liked wahat was there. happiness and love and nothing holding me back.

I am afraid of a life where I am stuck behind a mask for all eternity. Nobody knows who I am, only some vacuous shell af a human that is hidden from the world as we know it. Tomorrow may be an end to today, but it is something we never see.

I remember the double-breasted pale pink coat that my mother wore the Easter we lived in Carlisle. We used to really dress up back then, and she looked beautiful.
