The lawn really needed to be mowed. It was looking pretty good though, she thought. It was green and plush – like a healthy lawn should look.

She lifted the burger and watched it drip its greasy juices down her fingers, her wrists. “That’s one bit of you that’s escaped”, she thought, as she dug her fingertips into the bun, opened her mouth and pushed the oozing meat-and-bun as far into herself as she could.

the scent of flowers fill me with comfort, a comfort that promises hope and dreams in the future, a comfort that tells me that everything will be all right, that i should continue standing strong.

they cause scars that may disappear from the roots of our skin, but don’t vanish from the roots of our minds. they hurt with not only the knuckles of their fists and the heels of their feet, but also with the venom of their words.

The revised edition sat on his desk for a few moments before he picked up. Thumbing through the pages that crowded his mind for the past year was the hardest thing for him to do. He felt the weight of the story fall away with each page turn. This was being distributed as he sat there. His assistant smiled at him.

They were waltzing across the floor, eyes locked and backs straight. Their feet were bare and they danced in the shadows.

Do not throw me away. I want to be essential in your everyday existence. You’re gonna need my presence to even feel like you. I want to be the one that makes you ok.

Throw the key away and lock me away. I want to be capable of learning to escape. The art of the captive soul. I just want to break the walls of nothing and turn them into, everything.

what if the adjective that comes to mind is not what i am, but what i want to be?
if my existence is only in my head, then what ever i think is me IS ME

Unfounded…I have no idea what to say in front of the class. What a bummer. Time’s almost up…wow it lasts a long time when you watch the clock.

Mythic….I have no ideas at this moment, and that’s bad…How could I use this in my class? Not sure. It seems lame now that I’m trying it in front of everyone.

What is a pint? I’d say my daughter is pint-sized, but don’t tell her that. She’s big, you know. 26 pounds at age 3 IS big….

I wish I had a cold pint to drink. Frothy, under the stars. Stout-milk stout. Fire crackling, comfy chair. Good company–just him and me. Not a lot of words; just comfort, peace, happy.

When she speaks of him, her voice is the gentle fade of green to blue; lively yet calm in a way he can feel to his bones. When she speaks of the past, he hears red fading to black. And though he can no longer see her, she paints murals in his mind that he never wants to erase.

Its just like if I were to write an assignment and everything that I wrote wasn’t good. The next step to this process would be to start over and make all the corrections. The action of this would be the word im describing.

railway stations are always full. noisy. tiring. but once you are in a train, the journey makes up for all the frustrations accumulated while getting on to the train.

David is a police officer in the Drug Unit in New York City. He just got out of the hospital a few weeks ago. He was shot protecting a child from open gunfire. Upon arrival at the hospital, doctors learned that the bullet had lodged itself into his spine. David is now paralyzed from the waist down.

His wife, Lydia, has been a tremendous help to him since the shooting. She helps him get in and out of his wheelchair, take showers, and even go to the bathroom, and she does it all without complaint. But David knows how very hard this must be on her. He also knows how frustrating it must be to have a husband in a wheelchair, virtually unable to take care of himself. He also knows that she misses the intimacy between them. He does too.

David decides he has to confront Lydia about her feelings. They talk, and yell, and cry with each other all night. David knows Lydia has always wanted children, and it frightened her that, with his new disability, she might never have them.

He told her they just had to get creative.

So, they did.

And a short time down the road (oh, let’s say about nine months or so…), they were blessed with a beautiful baby girl. Wanting to give her a meaningful name, and having gone through what they did to have her, they thought it quite fitting to name her…Destiny.

It was a frenzy of an attack. No matter where he looked, all he saw were fighters taking on their enemy. People were dying and Fighters were still moving forward. It was what they were taught. In the frenzy of the moment, to keep going and don’t stop.

The assignment was incomplete, but i had no choice but to turn it in. I couldn’t afford another zero. not this time anyways. She looked at the paper and frowned at me.not my best work by far, but i’d had so much work to do in the last month that i’d forgotten about the assignment.

we delve into the pit of chocolate and marshmallows to find the ring that Mary dropped. While we were in there we find a baseball cap with a pink unicorn on it. the people who owned the pit asked why we would just delve into a random pit.

Fakery. You told some fibs. Those stories to avoid shame, regret, and the truth. You tell yourself to make yourself believe you are happy where you are.

The bench was worn nearly through with the weight of all the people who had sat on it. Its wooden planks were scuffed, scarred from tiffs, fights, breakups, the force of human emotion.

promises are the worst things, cause no matter what they always get broken, no one truely understands what they are and how to go about them. they are there own unspoken art. mysteriousness is the only word i can think of to describe them in this very moment, promises are painful, and they will break your heart after the one you love tell you they promise you the world only to have them die on you and never get to see those promises come true, even after they promised to never die on you. there gone now anyways so why does it matter anymore. all thats left is broken promises
