corner

the corner of everything is the edge it is either good or it is bad one thing that is all. A square has 4 corners. a triangle has three there is no specific corner. Corners are everywhere. They are everywhere but go unoticed.

radio

Where would we be without radio? Music, interesting talk, funny jokes, weird humor, weather warnings – Wow! I could turn off the T.V. and be perfectly happy without that as long as I had my radio! Especially if it was playing the ‘Big Hair’ 80’s bands! *ha!

montage

The old widow hoveled over to the warm collage of pictures on her wall. She stood and looked fondly, letting the memories sink into her deep, experienced mind as she leaned on her bright wood cane.

booth

One nickel, please. The gentleman in the blue striped tie insisted.
“But… All I have is a dime!”
“That simply won’t do, sir. One nickel please.”
The young boy in overalls stood panting at the booth.
“But all I have is a dime!”
The gentleman leaned on his arm emotionless.

tempted

Everyone is tempted to do something, whether they’re ashamed to do it or not. You see a good looking stranger and you’re tempted to talk to him or her. You’re tempted to smoke that drug, to scream at that one person, to help out the needy. But something always stops us

Ohhh, she was there. Ever so lustful in her demeanor. I could tell I was going to make a mistake tonight as I always seem to. Should I approach her? Very risky. She may be thinking the exact same thing but the incredible risk lies before me. She takes a sip of her drink and looks far off. A tease. She’s waiting. She’s waiting.

forgotten

she forgot me. that’s it. she just forgot me. threw me to the curb and decided it was best to forget me. i couldn’t believe it. then i had a moment. a moment of clarity. my life had become clear. i knew what i had to do. it was the end.

wasteland

I woke up to find myself here. It was where I remember waking up years ago. “Why does this keep happening?” I thought to myself as I dusted off my trousers. Nothing but rock. Complete and utter silence without the wind blowing or city stirring. This place was my home, and it forever beckoned me.

glowing

Spinning faster and faster, she was a blur on the dance floor. THe sound of the steady jazz played by the negro musicians thumped in the background. He knew that he would only have one chance with this goddess and he wasn’t going to blow it. He could tell from her glowing rosey red cheeks that she was his.

The first time l ever even touched an acoustic guitar, was because of a girl. Not one l was trying to woo mind you, one that broke my heart. Yes, that is not much better in terms of cliche, but the truth is the truth… for the most part. So, anyway, this girl broke my heart and l was trying to learn guitar to try to forget her or to get her back or something along those lines. lt all sort of blurs together now. I didn’t find any solace in music, none that l can remember at least, but this guitar did do one thing. It got me thinking. While l was playing it l started to wonder what this would do to me later in life, if l would even have a career in music or in art if that. Then it hit me: What the hell was l going to do with my life? Nothing to the point of an existential crisis, just enough to make me constantly worry. And worry. And worry. There would be days where l would do nothing but think about how l would or even could carve out a place in the world for myself. Just a small niche, l would think to myself, someplace that isn’t complicated. That was around the time l decided to run away.

obsolete

Things that are passé are obsolete. Horses, carriages and the way we think about education is no longer applicable.

The way people see media is the same. It is old, useless and cumbersome. People need to understand that the Internet contains much of the information that was available in print.

bookshelf

the bookshelf sat in the dark, dusty corner. From the Trojan War, to a book about Watergate, history was sitting on all the shelves of this one bookshelf. It sat in the corner, alone, and apathetic. The family that recently lived here had left, leaving those poor books behind. Now those words lay in their pages, and those pages lay in their books, and those books sat on their shelves. No happy ending, no adventurous climax, nor an enticing beginning. The titles were the only words that were able to be expressed at those who walked by.

success

success defines people in society. without some success a person could be nothing, and yet with success they could be anything they want in the world. So how do we measure success? By a persons job experience? Or by the size of that persons heart. Perhaps success is measured by the persons belongings.

galaxy

Galaxies are amazing. They contain life, death and something in between, I think. Nebulae are beautiful things. They create stars out of destroyed stars, making beauty out of death. The stars die and each one helps make another star become made.

The most beautiful thing you may ever see. A vast sea of pure grandeur, right before our eyes yet so far away. Looking up into the night sky shows us just how insignificant our lives are in this universe. A sky of twinkling stars like the flickering candles of the world, shining forever and ever.
