there’s a mist in the corner. The children run through it, but never return they’re all trapped and need to find their way out. Defeat the monsters which hide within the dark. Getting loose from the darkness would mean death.

Carbon reminds me of the color gray, but it’s also part of “carbon dioxide,” which is air. Gray is one of my favorite colors — boring, yes, but it’s partly because other colors pop against it, and air is essential to life. I think I’ll go for a walk today.

Side as if someone who stands by your side. Doesn’t matter if it is a mother, best friend, or a lover. Having someone by your side makes one feel stable and protected and protective of that person. People tend to feel more secure when having someone by their side rather than standing alone.

Ripping pain seared her left side. She could barely see anything from where she stood, the pain blinding her and leaving her breathless. Jim noticed the jagged arrow protruding from her lower abdomen only after her body had hit the ground. Although he couldn’t say he was surprised, the forrest was teeming with bloodthirsty hunters looking for their kind. But it was unfortunate to have to lose another one. He’d liked rose, trusted her. Sighing, Jim closed her eyes and walked onward, if only slightly more aware of his surroundings, moving deeper into the thicket of foliage

i only want someone to stand by my side. to hold my hand and help me through this rough time. to tell me that what im doing now is right. to help me move past all the bullshit and really look towards a brighter future. when i look to my left and my right, all i see are the shadows of mistakes past that i will never forget. thats all i can get by my side.

The events of one night, 3 weeks and 4 days ago, have changed my life forever. I broke promises, I lied, I yelled, I threw a fit – all over nothing. I was taken over by my one and only weakness and destroyed everything I love because of one event that set me off.
The only fault is my own. I am weak.
Because of my weakness, my event will follow me forever.

The event happened to be very subtle. The best part of the night was not the drunken shrieks of laughter or kisses firmly planted on unwilling lips. The event of the night was George reaching out his hand to hold his sister close.

There are many different time zones on the planet. I personally have experienced quite a few of them and home to visit many more. I’ve been east and west throughout the US and as far as Germany.

im in the zone. No Im not thats a big fat lie, I am so out of the zone I can zone in on anything. Ive zoned out. I’m already bored of this, what does that say about my creative ability to follow an idea through? I

I was in the zone. The ball came toward me, but before it could hit me in the face I got it. My chest slammed, there was a pounding inside but I cushioned it with my strength and determination. My loyalty to the team pushed me forward and the ball sped on in front of me. CRACK! The ball hit the back of the net!

i want to be a genius. As so many others. I want to change the world to the better. As so many others. Everybody wants so many things, but the thing is: its what you didn’t think you wanted that you appreciate the most.

It’s limitless. The time here. Clock on the wall. Gold rimmed. Gold shoes prattle about in the false silence. What am I even doing here? Part of me, the reckless part that used to wonder about opening a moving car door, wants to rob. Steal. Take everything never mine. But never mind.

I just did this and it is annoying. Are you only allowed one word per day? I certainly hope not because I have been in some sort of writing funk for almost a week now. Typically I am writing thousands of words per day… perhaps I’ve overworked myself.

Texts are the communication tool of the day! Everyone texts, from the kid down the block to your own grandmother (admittedly, she doesn’t do it well) but everyone texts! It’s how we talk to each other without really talking to each other.

something most people don’t have, not just young people old too my grandmother has the worst dinner manners it makes me sick to watch her eat with her mouth full
» Posted By katie On 08.09.2012 @ 10:23 pm
Manners are important. I would in customers service and people who don’t have manners tend to ruin my day and the day of others. Manners need to be taught to children and even adults who were apparently raised without them. Seriously.

Some people astound me. Some people cannot behave with even the slightest respect for others. Yesterday I saw a woman in the airport plow through a happy strolling couple without a second thought. Not even an apology. How many of us forget to apologize?
» Posted By Katie On 08.09.2012 @ 6:53 pm
Screw manners! Why do we have to be told how to act? Don’t we already get enough direction in being told what to do? Manners, frankly, piss me off. “No elbows on the table!” “Say please” how about I do what I want how I want. Does that work for you? No? Then kindly, fuck off. Please and thank you.

They tried to tempt me with those substances. The strange drinks and powders and leaves. But it never worked. My parents feared peer pressure and teenaged taunting I’m sure, but it was much more subtle just a brush of the rising smoke.

Substances are what people need to survive. Whether it’s food or drugs, people can’t get enough substance. Then, of course, there’s substance abuse. When those people over use said substances. Drugs are commonly more associated with substance, but anything can be a substance if you really think about it.

The key was stuck in the lock.
He turned back at me and grinned a sheepish grin that illuminated the redness of his cheeks. He then proceeded to grab the key with both hands and tug, grunting. “Just… just a moment!” he choked out, his voice ending on a high pitch. “I… almost… have it!” And then, the door handle, and key, came off with one last tug.

A flash, a click. A moment in time. Captured, forever. Like eternity. Only for a second. Just one second. Forever. Till the end of time. If the end of time exists.

There are no real methods to doing things. People believe that there are, but in reality what people do not know is that others truly just make things up as they go. It’s all improvised. “When in doubt, improvise!” was a line I always heard. Grew up on it. Loved it. Can’t follow it. We all want to believe that there is a set way of doing things, but as we grow older, we see that we can do things our own way–whether or not it’s the “easy” way.

We experience so many losses during life, that we often fail to recognize the steps forward we take, and the things we gain. We focus on what brings us down – they seem darker than the good seems bright. We mistake ourselves.
» Posted By Katie On 07.31.2012 @ 2:07 am
Everyone has losses. Everyone should just get over it. Losses are necessary. Losses are life. Without losses we have nothing of value. Without losses we are all a bunch of insolent
» Posted By Katie On 07.30.2012 @ 5:27 pm
Losses happen to everyone but what is really lost. Losses are important and unavoidable and it’s what you gain from them that counts. So think of them as long term gains. Losses yield gains, simple.

I hated my principal in school (is that the right “principal?”) either way he was a total ass to students and teachs alike and our school really went downhill when he came into power. But the year after I graduated, the school board finally kicked him out, now maybe people will actually learn somthing for once in my cut-rate, hick town!

the one who’s supposed to have everything together. From the lesson plans, to the payroll. The headhancho of the school. But there is more than one principal in some cases.
more than the ones in school, the ones that matter.
The ones that no one really considers until its too late.
What do you do when its too late?
Do you regret it?
or learn from your mistakes and move on?
