Everyone needs nutrients to survive. Sometimes, those nutrients are less than expected. Sometimes, they’re hard to find.
For some, they’re easy to find but hard to get.
It involves stalking, waiting for the source to be alone.
Then an attack from the shadows, then a quick move.
But the most important part, the part that can never be forgotten, is the need to get out of there fast as the sirens come closer, closer, closer.

The sizzling sound of whatever was cooking filled the silent room. Even the relentless tick tock of the clock had gone quiet. She stared down at the stir of vegetables with hollow eyes, hoping, praying that the silence would soon cease. Yet, it didn’t.

The only sound in the room was the liquid sloshing around in the glass. The ice cubes hitting the side as he tipped it back over, and over, and over. Never ending, never stopping. Just pouring, pouring, pouring, pouring with no purpose, no meaning.
Meaning was insignificant, now. All that mattered was this drink.

I couldn’t believe it, the walls had become bare, the beds merely frames, I couldn’t have lived here once before. It was home this institute and I just couldn’t leave for eternity. It was dead. I was dead. They all were dead but what am I to do now. It is my home now and forever will be. I can’t do this anymore believing I had left this place and lived a happy life. I know what happened now and it only makes my life even more insane. We were shot, room by room person by person, for being unstable but the truth is, we weren’t the unstable ones. They were.

Everybody has an internal estimate of their own worth, it is usually wrong. Good people often undervalue themselves. They feel they have lesser worth because they are not movie stars, rich or popular on social media. True self-worth comes from within, from knowing that we are not defined by our outward appearances, by the number of friend or followers that we have online. Our own worth is (in my opinion) measured by our actions, by who we are in the world and how we treat others.

Zombies are seriously misunderstood, unable to talk, mostly cause their teeth are falling out and their lips fallen off, all they want is to give someone a little hug, maybe nibble on an ear or two and people set them on fire, cut their heads off and just generally run round having a panic attack and screaming, poor misunderstood creatures

Everything is a matter of perspective, you look at the world in a sad angry way and all you will see is sadness and anger, gloom and doom. If you look out with suspension and paranoia, it will look back. If you look at the world with hope, light and joy (and a minor layer of paranoia) then what you get back will be mostly good times. :D

Timing is everything, without the proper timing your heartbeat would kill you, your car engine would shoot pistons all over the landscape and the jokes you tell would fall flat, although truth be told my jokes always have that problem

Crystals have always interested me, they have unique properties and can often be used to heal.
So much variety, I don’t know where to start

Wicked Witches should not own large ovens, you would think they would be more careful especially around homicidal abandoned children, children who seem to think it’s okay to wander around taking bites out of people houses. After all it’s hardly good manners just to wander up to someones house and take a large bites out of the doormat

The pointed look she gave him, seared through to his very soul.
“Well” she said, “What’s your answer, What do you want?”
He looked backed into those deep vibrant green eyes and gulped
Oh God, he couldn’t decide, why was it so hard to decide . . .
Oranges or Mandarins, he really hated grocery shopping

Hollow, an empty shell, nothing inside. Hollow empty people rushing about trying to fill themselves up with anything they can good or bad. External promise, crack it open and there’s nothing there.

The cry of an infant (be it human or animal) the one noise guaranteed to cut through any amount of noise. We are all programed to respond in some way and recognize the cry as a notification of need whether it be food, cleanliness or closeness. Some of us are just really good at ignoring the sound.

The middle child, middle ages, middle age, middle income. Halfway between the first and last the middle is always changing it has the ability to become better or worse. The middle of anything is always going places. It’s good to be the middle :)

“merge like a zip”, the official mantra for merging lanes on the road, it’s more about being polite than anything else and takes me back to learning how to share toys at Kindergaten. I just know that the person who shoves in front of me on the motorway is that same child who wouldn’t let others play with their toys

Being grounded is definitely something I try to be every day and it keeps me sane.

Something interesting in here, the immediate thought I have on seeing something locked. I am not overly curious though unless it is a computer file, locked boxes hold no fascination for me

Candy is the root of all evil or at the very least the root cause of hyperactivity, tooth decay and overweight children.

“Clarify the command.” The monotonous voice rang out again.
“Close the god damn airlock!” The captain screamed, his voice hoarse from the smoke clogging his lungs. “Close it already!”
“Unable to comply.”
All thoughts of escaping were cut short as the metallic clunk of an unwanted footfall interrupted his next command.

let me feel your skin
against the brown paper bag
of my face
of my soul
let me feel your skin like silk
let me feel your love
like the softest smoothest
but not tight enough

Suddenly she looked down at herself. When did she get this outfit put on her? she went to move but soon realized her hands were bound to the table. she struggled, nothing. She looked around the room she was in but could not find a door, she was alone and terrified.

Makes me feel brainwashed. The public is exposed to the world, thousands of viewers. Stupidity televised. Crappy humanity televised. Dirty and raunchy television shows.

As he went up the dreary steps, he already knew how his day would go; he would go up , load the projector, watch the movie through the square hole and then do it all over again. He didnt know why today it was hitting him particularly hard though, his routine hadnt changed since 1995

Angrily, I stomped upstairs. My life was over. It was the end of my freedom.

walking upstairs, I realized how utterly ignorant I was. How could I ever have the heart to kill a man? I was insane. My mind wasn’t just lost, it was completely gone forever.

We all try to be accountable for our actions yet we all fail sometimes. Every chance we get is a hit or miss. Responsibility is a constant ideal of importance however it sometimes falls flat.

The feeling of lurching like you’re going to fall, like you’re going to slam into the person in front of you and you can’t do anything about it, the screeching sound of warping metal, hard and loud in your ears, confusion and shouts and screams of terror and–

Her jumper was a violent shade of mustard and was woven from what looked to be the itchiest wool available on the market. She carried it off though, somehow – perhaps it was her angular cheekbones that allowed her to wear it with a model-like confidence, or her casual Parisian elegance. Either way, by the time I’d realised I thought she even looked good in mustard jumpers, I was desperately in love with her.
