siren

My daughter gets excited at the sound of a siren. We live on a main street and when she hears a siren she goes running to the window to see an ambulance, cruiser or fire truck race by with its lights flashing. She’s only two. Funny girl.

serene

It was a calm day in the forest. The wind was gently blowing through the pines. A creek could be heard bubbling in the distance. Birds chirping above. Quite the serene scene.

shore

He walked down the beach and looked out along the water. Waves. Surf. Sound. Birds. He liked the shore. He liked the wind on his face. He liked the smell of sea and salt. Oh crap. He stepped in bird droppings.

panel

I remember 28 years ago helping my brother put up fence. I was always so amazed that he could carry and entire 8 foot stockade panel by himself. Eventually, when I was older and stronger I was able to do the same but could never make look as easy as he made it look.

microwave

My first go around with oneword.com. A microwave. What a great piece of technology. Thaw frozen food. Make really gross eggs. Boil your cat. Ya, maybe it’s not so great after all.

patience

Patience is a virtue they say. They say that it is at the root of self discipline. Anything worth having requires patience to achieve. Results don’t show up overnight.

formal

The idea of formal introduces many thoughts in a persons mind. Formal attire for example is in most likely the commonly understood use of the term.

eternally

Eternally. Is anything really eternally? Everything ends right? Eternally yours, eternally grateful…after stepping in front of a bus, that won’t mean shit, will it?

saved

I saved about a hundred minutes the time that I decided to walk my giraffe with a motor scooter instead of roller skates. The problem is that I wasn’t able to save his neck . . . he got it caught in a tree branch because i was going too fast.

sudden is an awesome word. It is sometimes used to describe a situation where you have explosive diarrhea while being on a date with a hot chick in a movie theatre..

chaos

There is no rhyme or reason for this. I once said nothing is random, but truly the tides have shifted and lines have broken. Chaotic as it all might seem, we find reason in the strangest of places to make us believe that this is something worth our time.

carve

Carve out my heart and put it in a freezer, where its good and cold. But at least your saving it right? That’s gotta mean something. I don’t know anymore. I doubt everything. Fate. What the hell is fate. Is it real? Fate and faith.

leather

once an animal, or a part of an animal. We have fashioned a use of that part of the animal for our purposes. Not that it is bad or what not. But when we don’t have an appreciation that we use and rely on other living entities for our comfort and survival we disconnect our selves from an important part of existing on this planet.

pillar

Pillar. Pillar of society, pillar of the community. Pillar of strength for my family and my friends. We are all pillars for each other from time to time, we are all in need of support from time to time.

kite

The kite gave me new life. I saw myself flying high and never wanting to come down. The only thing that would stop the flight would be the night.

I took my kite out for a fly the other day. The winds surrounded the kite with joy.

dolls

Dolls can be pretty scary. I’ve never liked those porcelain headed dolls with the rosy cheeks and the red lipstick and the thick eyelashes. They’re frightening, like the one they found on the floor of the titanic deep under the ocean. As if they weren’t freaky enough in the first place, given that context, they’re the worst.

waltz

I like to waltz. Waltzing is a dance, it is a movement, a glide. Waltzing is just going to be dancing. What is a waltz? I once did a waltz at my cousin’s wedding. Debut, rather. It was fun. I don’t know how I did as a waltzer. You just go up and down up and down. It usually is done by old people and old movies. I like to waltz and walts

cutout

My favourite parts of movies always manage to get cutout, and I want them back. I see a preview, and then watch a film waiting to see something funny, or exciting, only to find that it’s been cutout. Put them back.

mode

mode describes the way you function and the way you think. It describes how a material will react depending on the environment you place it in. Mode is not a characteristic it is a setting that can be changed by chemical changes in your head or by a switch on a tool.

charge

Charge! Yelled the captain. The men didn’t think twice. They knew that their lives rested on the decision of this one man, and they all had the utmost trust in his judgment, for this wasn’t their first battle.

bandage

In the office where I work there are two bandages to choose from. Either sponge bob or barbie. I judge people based on what kind of bandage they take. I don’t favor one or the other, I just enjoy judging people.
