iron

Makes me think of a nice piece of outboard gear. Iron from driving an API pre hard is soooo goddamn good. I absolutely love iron from 1176’s and Distressors as well. Need to get some more hardware comps in my rig, hopefully starting with a stereo DBX pair. I have a sick obsession I’m pretty sure.

mystery

this word is just cool. It looks cool in most fonts, too. But it reminds me of religion for some reason. Huge crock, can’t believe people fall for that crap. Also reminds me of GOP candidates… holy shit what the fuck are we going to do next November? It’s not like any of the current ones have a chance against Obama, and how half of them got support is a mystery to me.

rally

rally defines a come back in sports. it also defines a group of people gathering for a similar cause. interesting range there. rally…of all words. Mets rally to win. Abortion rally turns ugly.

level

He was on the level. He shared his heart, regardless of who it hurt. Did his purging help? Well, he didn’t care, because he was an open book, a book that nobody would want to read. So I guess he was like an audio-boo, you know, the kind that you can just sit listening to without even trying (OK, Bulwer-Lytton, give me my prize!–LOL)

skeleton

Is it Red or is it Bones? You know, Bones from Star Trek? Structure, power, strength, comedy. Skelton not skeleton!

» Posted By Jeff On 07.24.2011 @ 6:38 am

We are skeletons, those who are skinny or fat, dead or alive. Because without a decent life lived, there’s no fullness, no fleshing out of who we were created to be.

bow

I bow to the King, whom I expect to bow before me. Who am I to make such a request? How I long to have the humility to lower myself to my proper place. Do you know what it’s like to be too pompous, & say you’re not? I do!

honest

To be honest, that is an awesome decision. One that most people never make. A difficult decision to be sure, and one with extravagant repercussions.

morals

morals are what tells us the things that are good and bad. it helped define what is just and right versus what is wrong, and immoral so to speak. morals can concern anything that we do in the course of our lives. an example of a moral is something like ‘dont throw bricks in a glass house’. it embodies a sort of symbolism, sort of like a fable, where the animals represent something much larger

station

That day in the train station we walked up and saw the heavens. We saw the constellations shining bright before our eyes. They were intricate like a work of God, yet most clearly formed by hand: boasting creature forms. We ascended to meet them face-to-face. We proceeded to greet them. And in shaking their hands we asked them to explain to us by whose hands they were formed. And though they moved about and tried their best to explain in gesture and word, our answer was only revealed in a stationary, solitary moment.

embraced

braces for the teeth and pieces for the mouth. braces for the back of the back and supports supporting the arch of my foot. cold and sore is the metal, with cold sores on my lips. the metal aches and teases, it aint pretty but it is good. Down deep it is a great good. and your embrace, it is the most warm and tender of fine metals.

torch

A torch is a tool that helps one see a darkened path. It can be battery operated, or a naked flame, but both serve the same purpose. A torch can be a literal thing or figurative, a symbol.

domestic

Are cats really supposed to be domestic? Where did they come from? Who brought them into our world. People of egypt worshiped them, should we do the same? This is what it is like to be in my head.

» Posted By Jeff On 05.21.2011 @ 9:20 am

A woman in the fifties and before that (and also now a lot of the time) was simply seen as a source of convenience. As a man, you get married and you get meals, pussy, cleaning, etc. Men who live neat little domestic lives are hard to find but are probably usually good at life I think.

I’ve had a disturbance nor for three months. It sounds like a tornado hurling a moving freight train through miles of the sky, the wrought iron being slung about like a blades of grass in the wind. What it could be, I don’t know. And I don’t want to find out. There’s no one for miles; the sun hasn’t risen in months. I’m alone- with only fear and darkness.

bones

Looking down into the dark pit, walls crumbling their dirt into its depths, all that could be seen were the white glimpse of bones.

dinosaur

Dinosaurs used to rule the earth, but have long been gone from our lives. I really can’t think of what else to say other than they are big, scary and made killer movies.

fluorescent

Bight lights burn like a beacon in the dark. we all flock to them like we’re moths both alive and made with dust. we just dissolve right back on the day in which we leave this earth. there might be a heaven or maybe not. but its not a thing that gets my concern. so i move into the wind headstong and dont submit

Styrofoam. The enemy of the “green movement,” My new enemy. I avoid it. But is it better not to use than to recycle?
