event

overwhelming as it closes in. scallops and lace and heavy, bruting gold, the only metal that radiates warmth. the event radiates warmth.

adviser

One of the things you have to realise when you grow up and acknowledge that fairytales are ridiculous is that nobody should ever want to be the king. If you’ve got a lick of sense you’d want to be the adviser. The slippery bastards who manipulate everyone and never get their comeuppance.

hassle

Everything’s a hassle everyday all the time it’s ridiculous and sometimes people just need to sit back and relax… Life is too short… Stress is not needed.. When something goes wrong, think about the issue and then act on it. Keep calm. The world doesn’t revolve around you and that stain on your dress.. No ones going to notice… Sto caring about what everyone else thinks… Just be you.

It was such a hassle to be with him, he made me sick, he made me mad, he made me old, he made me want to punch his face, he made me sad, but he made me love him, I guess that was the biggest hassle of them all.

walls

I have walls around me. Walls to protect me from invisible men. I just want to let The One through. Except that’s not how it works. My walls are made of bricks. They’d come crashing down in an Earthquake. No doubt about it.

braid

Hair.
Braiding is something I can’t do.
I like french braids.
I wear my hair in braids sometimes.
Where did the braid originate?
Who decided to place three sections of hair and cross them in such and aesthetically pleasing pattern?
I wish my hair weren’t in layers so I could braid it easily.

cast

She always hated plays.

They were so overdramatized, and what she wanted most was to begone her worries.

Unfortunately, she was the star of the school drama.

Fortunately, it was finally her time to shine.

acoustic

guitars, music, paramore has really good acoustic songs. I wish I could play the acoustic guitar, but I’m not musical. the word itself reminds me of the sound you hear from a shell on the beach. It reminds me of drumsticks too.

ego

Your ego far surpasses anyone else’s i’ve ever met. Here I am thinking I could use that to my advantage. Turns out I was wrong. What can I say? I made a mistake. Your ego sure knows how to take charge.

a subject, a ball, a body a glass – whatever you dropped it feels like it’s smashed. But some letters in that word make me think there’s a second chance – 2 d’s, 2 p’s say pounce back and dance.

“Wake up,” she whispered and nudged me slightly. I smiled, hearing her voice first thing in the morning would never get old. Not even after 30 years of marriage.

library

She sat in the library’s microfiche room, going through old newspapers from the turn of the 20th century. It captivated her to see how people talked, thought, and lived.

She had originally gone in to do family research, but that idea was abandoned when she became absorbed in old advertisements and news stories.

split

My parents split up when I was five years old. My father was in the military and my mother, a housewife, grew weary of traveling all the time and never seeing my dad.

Mother moved us to Texas after the divorce, and we never saw my father again.

tarnished

The table was full of tarnished silver goblets, the contents of which were spilled all over an antique lace cloth. Mary entered the room, and was overcome by the pungent odor of mildew and decaying food.

mythology

She is the contemporary mythology. Boasting a predictable beginning, middle and end. She suffers the same toxicity as have many of the great heroines that came before her, rescuing those who she perpetrated against and have fallen victim to. Although, her end meets a different demise, in that it was met by more contemporary means. The luxury of time to reflect on the detailed accounts of the villages she raped, pillaged and conquered, leaving her great deeds open to the attacks of categorical imperatives that the modern book throes at her, term by term she ducks and dives terms of the modern narrative; “psychotic”, “borderline”, “narcissistic” and the like. Comic book heroes save the world by finding less harmful alternatives and find sustainable solutions to protect the universe; so mindful are they for the greater good. Our heroine not able to seperate the emotion from the deed, is an alcoholic in denial sitting at the slot machines awaiting her luck to run out. They sure don’t make heroes like they used to.
