I continued to walk through life even though there were a few stumps along the way. I continued my journey and I knew it would be a long one. I continued to pay attention to my gut feelings and everything that fed my soul.

She shouldn’t have been upset that half of her family never mentioned her birthday. They were the half of her family that didn’t much like her anyway. She decided to focus on the good. She was thankful for the other half of her family that wished her a happy birthday and the part of her family that she knew loved her.

An olive. Well it’s something you might find in a salad, or a drink… It could also be a girl’s name. Reminds me of the cartoon series ‘Popeye the Sailor Man’. His girlfriend’s name is Olive… Wow I don’t seem to be very creative. Come on brain… Oh look at that. Time’s up.

Spilled milk. Never understood how that one was bad because I was never really a big milk drinker.
Now, spilled coffee will make me cry. I won’t try to drink it off the counter but it really makes me sad to spill coffee. Or Mello Yello. Or ice cream. Oh, coffee ice cream. See, all leads back to a love of coffee!

I took out my potions and wiped my hand to the spoon. It wasn’t long before I explosion came from my pot and a green smoke filled the air. I had finished making my food. And my food lured the children. It was alcohol that would make children illusion my house a candy

My Daddy was a salesman. Matter of fact, my Daddy was the best salesman I’ve ever known. He knows how to read people and he knows exactly what to say to them to help them realize they must buy what he’s selling. What I love is how they never seem to know it wasn’t their idea to buy it.

Moving ahead was what he needed to do. “Move on,” Mom had said. “She was never good enough for you. Especially once she dumped you. You need to move ahead, away from it.” “Okay, it’ll be hard, but okay,” I replied, hanging my head low and walking up to my room.

Ahead of the race, Jack ran to where the finish line was, hoping to win. He needed to be far ahead. He needed money for his Mom’s surgery. If he didn’t win, she’d surely die from Cervical Cancer. And obviously, he didn’t want that. He needed to get further ahead, winning was the only option he had. She couldn’t die.

Sweep. Hm. When I see this word I think of two very different things. To sweep as in to clean, and being swept off your feet. I can’t say I sweep my floors very often. In fact there’s a broom sitting across the room staring at me right now. It’s making me feel guilty. Shut up broom. I don’t want to clean.

Directions. Don’t follow a set of directions or what way something says to go. Follow your heart! Do what you want and have a full sail at all times. Small steps or big, always go forward!

A lot of crazy things happened in the past. The future is what’s important. It’d be nice if things were as good as then but I’m afraid things change. I’m not sure I like it. But hopefully someday a good change will come along. I will continue to hope for that day.

He could not stop thinking about his past and how it would help him in this situation. Somehow everything always seems to happen when it snows and now it’s snowing heavily outside while they were all being held hostages inside by heavily armed masked men.

Finally, the moment was now. She was alone, sipping on some egg nog, standing under the mistletoe. He thought about a plan all evening to get her under the mistletoe and there she was, already there. Now he just had to find the courage to walk across the room and seize the moment.

Why do people still make me so nervous? As a child and then a teen I was so painfully shy and hated being around people but in college it wasn’t so bad. Now? Now I’m all nervous and shy again around people…

It dripped off the sides just begging to be licked. My pudgy fingers kept edging along the sides of the plate trying to find a spot where I could grab a taste of that delicious chocolate goodness. However, my Grandmother always seemed to know when I got just a little too close.

he switched the door knob with a sticky hand, her hands covered in moisturizer. the scent was of the beach, the ocean, summertime. she didn’t want to leave and his locking the door by changing the doorknob made his efforts futile. she was lost to the demands of the physical.

Ratings are what society depends upon these days. Everyone and everything is rated. A movie is rated, a person is rated, their outfit is rated, everything is rated. If you’re a rater, you’re a judger.

The girl watched as the young ladies crossed the stage one by one. Each of them waving to their fans. They were viewed as idols. Despite her position as a judge she couldn’t stand to see these girls walk around in such a way where they are merely seen for their appearance and nothing else.

The girl walked slowly across the stage waiting to receive her tiara. It was only her first pageant but she had won. She couldn’t be more proud of herself. It had taken her several years to work up the courage to compete but standing there she couldn’t be more proud of herself for finally going after her dream

Prosperous. When I hear that word, I immediately think of wealth. Of someone in a huge, beautiful room with lots of beautiful things, standing there looking beautiful, saying, “Well, I made it!” Can you be prosperous without being happy though? Because I can’t separate the two words in my mind. You can be wealthy and unhappy, but prosperous – that’s happiness.

The edge. Standing on the edge of a craggy cliff. On the edge of an important decision. An edgy pixie cut, jet black. An edge to your words.

Goodness, I love the word romantic. It has so many happy connotations and just puts a smile on my face. It reminds me of the Victorian Era, which I absolutely adore. It makes me smell roses and think of beautiful white dresses.

Half. What a cutting-edge word, separating a whole into two parts. People are only halves, really; they’re meant to have four eyes, two noses, four ears, two mouths, two pairs of lungs. Two beating hearts. And that’s what marriage is, really. Putting two halves into a whole again.
