A person of unusual culinary talents who spoils evenings when he’s not on. Never a dull person in any crowd, since everyone loves eating. Marry a cook and your happiness is assured–as is your waisteline!

I like to cook at home. It saves money on food and I can portion exactly. When I eat out I either good too full or finish my food without being satisfied. I can cook a mean red onion lamb burger. Oooooh boy.

is a word used to describe a male, as in ‘he looked at himself, and only say his imperfections’. It’s a commonly used word and frankly you should already know what it means. If you didn’t, go back to school! And read! Reading is amazing!

They stood sullen and sultry in the breaking dawn. Bitter disgust rising in the back of their throats. Cold faces hard in a warm morning, salty breeze blowing through dirty hair. White knuckles popped as they watch the first rowboats drop to the sea.

From under the water, the sky looks garbled. The sun is as fluid as an egg yolk. Clouds are imperceptible the further down you go.

The store was local. Time passed and it became harder and harder to keep open. The regional supermarkets were closing in. Down-home friendliness was no longer a virtue. Price was the only virtue that mattered anymore.

Soon seems like a long time from now. Immediacy is my only concern. I want now right now. When all I can do is wait the possibilities tease me. Makes me irritated. Irrational.

“Don’t be a square,” yelled Ruby from the height of the second storey window.
In my mind I heard my parents saying, “Don’t get sucked in by people who try to persuade you to be cool.”

The hall is empty. The floor is cleanly polished, The lights that run along the ceiling are florescent and cast a glow along the corridor that is artificial. Clearly man-made. No sunlight touches this subterranean passageway.

I can’t think of the greatest gift I’ve ever received. A great gift must take the recipient by surprise. An item that they didn’t know how badly they needed. It can be anything, small or extravagant, it all depends on the person.

He rubbed greasy dark fingers over the tattered satin covering his girth. Dirt thickly crusted under fingers worn with work. A belch erupted from his mouth, from deep down in his gullet. He grinned ear to ear as his eyes slid lazily shut, the crackling fire singing him to sleep.

My appetite is hard to satisfy. I’m always hungry, and hunger is distracting. I don’t know how to live without constantly thinking about food. I know I’m not alone in this!

Laughter echoed in his ears. Have I mentioned what Tel had said? A smirk curling boyishly.
Her giggle cut short with wide eyes. N-no. she chirped, with a slight tilt of head.

The institutions are the people who last. The people who don’t quit. The Rolling Stones is an institution. They will keep playing music until they die-besides, what else would you expect from them? They’re well paid and respected, like any institution.

The employees work at the store. They don’t own the store, the store owns them. The store decides when they wake up, when they leave the house, and how much money they have to spend every week. Some employees get a surplus, others get a shortage. This is decided by the quality of their education.

Measured a measurement of myself to measure myself to the measurements of measuring.

There goes my time. Spent hustling, hustling, hustling. No end in sight. The goal always moves further, just out of reach. I try my best but my time disappears with my effort. Once it’s spent it’s gone.

The roar of the MGM Lion will always make me giddy. So many great movies start with that opener. When I hear that mighty growl, I’m conditioned to feel anticipation for the entertainment ahead.

The ability to teach and learn is what separates us from the animals. The ability to show others and describe in detail is a uniquely human trait. And thank goodness-where would I be without all the knowledge that others have passed on to me?

We use each other. That’s what other people are for. We achieve with each other and our success is impossible without others. We support, we congratulate, we are supported and congratulated. Such is the nature of using other people for your own ends. We are all complicit.

If nothing interests you you’re dead. Get a hobby, pick an activity, knowledge set that will challenge you, invigorate you, force you to work to get better. If you don’t you’re not moving forward and you’re as good as gone.

Do I learn something new every day? I doubt it. If I do, I don’t apply what I learn because my days follow a predictable trajectory from one to the next. I’m a homebody, still in my hometown, 6 years after high school. True, my hometown is awesome but I want to live somewhere else.

there was a problem and now there is not. Like the first star to come out at night, it shines EUREKA the anticipation and the sweat and the procrastinating hours are over – I’ve got it – Done.

I have a few things I would like to bury. The books on my bookshelf can’t be burned, they must be buried. It’s a great ritual, a great way to say goodbye.

What does happy mean? Show me a picture and I’ll show you a faker. Happiness is real but it doesn’t last :D

There was a happy dog who lost his shoes. He didn’t mind, even then, he was still happy.

His friend was upset one day, he’d been left by his girl. The happy dog saw him upset and decided to tell him about his shoes and sure enough they both fell about laughing.

A good mood can be infectious.

The scene was unlike any other. At first, Thompson thought it was paint. It was laid on thick. And it was still bright, like the fire engines he remembered from his youth. This is blood! he realized.

Walls surround me.
Enclose me
Keep me from the world.
I long to be free
But freedom scares me.
There is no greater responsibility than that of freedom.
There is no greater burden than that of responsibility.
