the breakage of fingernails in the wintertime.
i am my mother’s daughter, and when i was young my grandmother explained or familial curse
with the touch of evil, our fingers snapped, as though frozen, a branch of the cranberry tree in the backyard
my ring finger has been given to reality

I used to swim in pools when I was little I’d think about drowning but I would never be that afraid to not swim. When we got a pool I felt bad because my mom was upset that it was ruining her yard; the way she said it really made me upset, i was only about 9. we never had heat in our pool so i feel bad i didnt use it more often because we lost money and moved away and now we dont even have a pool but we have the beach to swim in even tho i dont swim in the ocean

The iphone is a useless piece of junk. I think its really over hyped and kind of a hassle to work with. especially the fact that it is a touch screen. that makes it super prone to damaging and if you don’t buy all of apple’s fancy carrying cases then your iphone wont last a month.

rolling myself down a hill to meet my heart.
i left you today, and left a letter on the table where i know the oils of the butter would not stretch to reach it
perhaps next autumn if you are in mideastern wisconsin we shall break bread together at thanksgiving
i left your broom leaning in the closet.

sometimes i wonder how i have landed myself here, in a grimy truck stop station in the middle of utah. who has been here before me? who has washed sweat from their hands? tears from their face? slept inside for the night. porcelain skin is flecked impermanently.

The blade is sharp.
It pierces my skin.
I bleed. But nobody knows it.
Oh how beautiful you look
All covered in silver..
and reflecting sunlight
off of your self
