waltz

I already wrote about this, but here goes: I beleive that a true appreciation of the waltz depends on the music and the waltzers

waltzing is a very funny dance to watch, although somewhat graceful. Two people, bodies together, moving and twirling around a dance floor, for what? Seems a little stupid. It has no story, that I know of…what is the waltz trying to tellus? Just about the grace of it? I remember in the third grade, learning this dance, and how my partner’s hands were clamy. Aren’t kids funny?

potato

Potatoes don’t come from Ireland at all. They come from Peru. There’s even a blue variety.

roller

I used to use rollers to curl my hair every night…then, I used electric rollers when that was available. Ouch! Both hurt.. the price we pay for beauty! Oh, well, now it’s hot air brushes. What could possibly come next?

She sat on the balcony in the dark waiting for him to come home. It was cold and wet, but she didn’t notice. down below the traffic was flowing smoothly into the night.

drop

Drop the ball
At the Drop of a hat
Drop the other shoe
Gum Drop

Drop…sudden, waiting, instantly, sweet

want

I want to be able to walk and swim and have a nice time with my body. I want to help people to do the same. I want to watch the exciting things available to me in the world. I want to stop being bushwacked. I want to be there for my friends. I want to have my friends be there for me.

remember

Remember when we were young and we were best friends to each other without ever saying it or even being fully aware of it? Remember when we used to look out for each other and were source of comfort? I do! I love you, my little sister.

princess

Princess conjures up in the imagination a picture of multi-layed frocks of old in which a fair young maiden eventually gets her heart’s desire. Princess conjures up in my mind The Beloved, one totally loved and cared for, one who is indulged. Princess is everything one could hope to experience. Princess makes me smile!

veins

Flowing through them, something that I thought that I had left behind ages ago. A reminder that runs like railroad tracks, and today the conductor sounded the horn:
change of lanes ahead.

In my veins, a sanguine history lingers.
More than blood runs through these fingers.

level

Level….level-headed. Are you on the level?
Even, balanced, flat, ordinary, bland, uninteresting, stable. Hmmm. Not much there.

bracelet

Bracelet is a feminine word, a piece of jewelry worn by few men. And, yet, when seen on a man brings noble and sparked attention. Bracelet…it makes me think of shackles.

locked

My heart is locked.
It’s been that way for a very long time.
I am ready for it to open.
I am ready to surrender.
I am ready to be free.

It’s a solitary word saying how quiet and lonely someone may be. It means thoughtful or it can mean sober or it can mean meaningful. The word can take the place of a thinker. The word brings to mind a quiet occasion or a place of solitude. Reflections of thought are sombre. Places of respect can be sombre. A sombre occasion can be a celebration of life as in a funeral or it can be a museum or art studio reflecting great thoughts.

I love to wear a scarf around my neck, it compliments my outfits. I have several in a drawer that I used to wear when they were poplular several years ago. If the fad ever comes back, I’m all set for sure. I have several colored scarfs

Something to wear around your neck or head to keep you warm. To scarf up something as to take it all.

Scarfs cover your head on a cold day – or you wear them to keep the wind from blowing your hair. They can keep your neck war, your ears warm, and you can even pull them up over your nose so it will be warms too. I got a beautiful scarf when my husband went to Canada

I have not had a scarf that I like for many years – don’t really have the need for one I guess. When in New York one year, a scarf was essential. Here in the Southwest, it would not be useful for keeping one warm. I like the look of a long scarf in contrasting colors draped down the front of a light colored shirt. Brings the eye up and down rather than side to side. And so is now the 60 seconds over? Was that a ding I heard? This is my first time. I’ll keep writing to see what happens next. Well, I’m done anyway – time to submit.

blowing in the wind the scrarf matched the dress perfectly. It was a beautiful day and she wore the scarf to accent the colors she chose that day. She felt good, walking along the city street with passersby looking at her, admiring her choice of wardrobe. Not to keep warm, just to be in style and stylish, the scarf served no purpose except her own.
