train

Ridin an old train is a pretty picturesque thing that crops up in ol folk tales and the like. The culture of train riding now is reduced to a better form of commerical good movements and people getting crammed into confined spaces while traveling at high speeds through narrow tunnels. It’s not as glorious for a hobo but at least they have the oppurtunity to beg for change from the other guests.

(This is flawed I didn’t enter my name and now I just got an extra 60 seconds, oops, buggy my bugstein)

But back to the trains, they helped after manifest destiny and Germany has some really nice and efficient public transportation which inclues TRAINS! JEESUSSSS WE COULD USE SOME MORE OF THAT IN THE US.

The backyard was alive with them. The family, their friends, grilling, a summer night in the ’80s.

He watched her move from aunt to aunt, laughing, kissing cheeks. The way her blue summer dress showed off her legs made him want to know her every thought…it would never matter how mundane they were, to him, each one would be a crafted gem.

wicker

The basket in the corner smelled of pee. It was unfortunate. it was more than unfortunate, really. This was the house he grew up in.

His grandparents were getting old. There wasn’t any doubt about that. There wasn’t any money to put them in a home, but they couldn’t stay like this.

As he approached the basket, it was all he could do to hope that a cat hadn’t crawled in there and died. Don’t let there be a dead cat in this pee smelling basket…

joyful

She clutched the flowers as she pranced down the street. Her first time! Her first time receiving flowers from a boy! No matter that she didn’t much like him. These were her gift to keep – a bouquet of beautiful things picked and presented to her.

She thought a bit more, and maybe she did want to kiss him after all.

lack

I lack the ability to really communicate my feelings to people, and that makes me afraid that I will never have a successful marriage or ever let in that special person so we can truly get to know each other and love each other.

depth

The dive went better than expected. The cool water enveloped him, and soon he found himself trailing his hands across the bottom of the pool. How long could he stay down here, he wondered.

He opened his eyes, feeling a slight sting of a chemical burn from the chlorine. Up there was the real world. Down here, he was a submarine, an ancient whale, a sea monster, anything but what he was up there.

loan

never loan anyone anything. just make up some really good excuse. otherwise, when the person fails to return the thing that you’ve lent them, it’s just awkward! should u ask for them to give it back…decidedly sticky situations will result.

Loan. The word of greed and possible deception. Loan means giving something temporarily, yes, but quite often, that something is never returned. It is an ugly word. The only proper substitute is give.

it happens all the time and is vital to the continued survival of any species including ours. You cant always live with it, but you can never live without it.

veins

the veins in her arms stood out. they made her feel young and strong again, like she did when she had swam in high school. Her veins had stood out then, too; but then it was because of her sinewy, compact, supine muscles, rippling under her satin skin.

now

I was going to do it later. But now it’s all about now. My now will be gone in just a second. But there will be another now. At least for now. When there are no more “nows” what will my “now” be like? Interesting. For now.

dock

Boating on a clear and sunny day, the dredge of the water and the smell of low tide took us all back a bit. While the thoughts of the rough weekend ahead had no bearing on where we currently were, it definitely ran thru the head of many of us. How in the world are we going to acheive

It makes me sad to think that I will need to carry the burden of someone else who is sombre, yet glad that I can pull alongside someone in that mood and help lift whatever load has weighed down that someone!
