My eyes were unfocussed when the “one word” appeared and I thought it was “falling” but realized that was not right. Then, still with no focus, I thought it must say “failing”, and I had some things to write about that word. Much to my dismay, it is in reality, “flailing”, and I have nothing to say about that.

A wall of snow, just waiting for some violent action to release it. I knew it would be certain death, so quiet and slow was what I was aiming for.

I didn’t here anything, had no idea there was a visitor until the dog let me know that someone was at the back gate. There he was. The light of the morning. Love personified.

means that you would never leave your family, just a few weeks before Christmas, with no phone calls or contact with your children, no word when or if you will return. Nothing.
Responsibility is apparently not hereditary, and I am embarrassed to say you are my brother.

The sound of the marimba playing softly in the background was magical. Not because it was musical, but because of who was playing it, and because he was exposing his natural love for art to me.

Feeling provocative. Feeling helpless. Feeling everything inside of me. Torn between pain and joy. Life and death. Worth it.

And then he said to me, “don’t worry, I’ll build it for you.”
I was caught foff guard, not by what he said, but by how misty my eyes had become.

Unknown which side to be on.
The good side.
The bad side.
The blind side.

Dora deep-sea gas exploration have adverse affects on whales’ sonar capabilities? I believe it does, and this makes me sad.

Don’t be such a doorknob. That’s what she said to me. I don’t even know how a doorknob is supposed to behave in the first place.

It rattled to life, chugging away like an elephant in labour. Thankfully the distributor cap was not cracked enough so that it would not function, and soon we were speeding down that decrepit highwy, away from everything familiar.
Life had never been better, or held more promise.

Soups…soups are a basic food. One of the most basic. It can help heal the sick, bring comfort to the uncomfortable, and bring back memories of home to the homesick. Primordial soup…we’re made from soup. Strange, eh?

It ticks by, so slowly. And suddenly you are there, and every minute is gone in a flash, until you are gone. Then it ticks by so very slowly again.

And there is no such word as “drizzle” in his vocabulary when it comes to pancakes and maple syrup. The operative word here would be “pour”. It on.

There once was a floating lantern that drifted all throughout the world. As people saw the lantern they knew it meant they’re deceased loved ones were watching. It was comforting WMD

Makes me think of the new movie, Pirates: Band of Misfits. In the trailer there is a part where he says something about his crew *pause* “When I say crew, I mean the street sense of the word. Yo.”

Cole looked left, slyly, at Aurora’s face, open in wonder at the pictures and paintings in the gallery. Grabbing her hand, he leaned into her, whispering with all the corniness of an Iowa agricultural center, “nothing here matches your beauty.”

Life had been hard, before. Not that it wasn’t anymore, I mean… but it was different then. It was almost the same everyday, like variations on a theme. Chores and labor and work and chores and labor and work and chores and…
But then we packed up and bundled ourselves into the wagon. They told us it would be easier in the end; more play, less work. More time for ourselves and for eachother, they said. We just had to get into our wagon and ride, arrive, refresh our lives.
Time was the killer.
The hardest days of all were the wagon days. Day in, day out. No variation. Just sit and sit and sit and sit wait and sit and sit and watch and sit and sit and sit. . .

As the wind blew my hair into my face and slapped little shards of sand and gravel against my cheeks and legs, I could think only of the other times I had been here… other times, happy times, with you.
It started here, us, so I guess ‘us’ must end here too.

Landmarks have never been so inspiring to me as a person at a landmark point in their life. All I’ve found in those places were empty promises. But people, ever changing and constant rearranging causes the landmarks in their life to be more fulfilling than a pyramid.

Time will only tell your real age. The times when the element of technology that confined you in a box of wires were once a city of voices, a community of mouths, and a humm of bravadoes that song the song of everlasting rhythm. When the news was told by great-grand father and the help came from the transmission of the motor of your throat. Voice is what its called. Real music to my ears.
