the traffic stops, but why? why is everyone so suddenly halted? i see it. cones. the cones are like little people holding up my life. everything is finished. damn cones.

a cone, I’m thinking of a traffic cone. Giant, orange, plastic cone that gets stuck under your car when you run over it. One of my friends got one stuck under her car oncee and it came out on the highway. It was hilarious.

it takes off without my bidding sometimes; my thoughts running at a gallop as they search to find meaning in the last words you said to me. What does it matter, if my heart gallops, too.

i think of thick smell that hits you as soon as you step in to one of thpse weird earthy shops, of hippies and headbands that usually smell like theyve litteraly drowned in this stuff

the frog is nothing but a creature in the meaningless world we call life. the frog seeks only to eat flies, and he is content. there is nothing we want except to be okay, but we never will. we must never stop eating, breathing, life is a chore. Its so so so apathetically boring. A frog has much more to offer us than anything i could.

Protector. I wish I had one for my heart, maybe then it wouldn’t have so many holes. Maybe this time will be different.

the shield i wear is invisible. it is not one you can tangibly see. however it is evident and i am unable to rid myself of this shield. my family and friends notice the shield i have placed over myself and i am afraid that they are unaware that this affects my relationsihp, or the capacity of a relationship with them.

The station was pretty much an inpenetrable shield. No one was getting in, not the Syndicate, not the ISC, not the UN. SS13 was not going anywhere, no matter how much Agent One wanted it to.
He turned to Agent Two, whose face was twisted in a confused grimace.
“We’re not getting in, are we?” Two asked.
“There’s got to be a way in…”

i try to shield myself from the fact that by this time next year, you’ll be gone. i love you.

The thing is we don’t know how much we know, much less how much of what we think we know we’ve even got right. We are certain of just a few things. We don’t wanna die. We enjoy the things we enjoy.

I was not certain, but I honestly tried my best to fake a smile. Gotta say, it worked pretty good.

her amber hair flowed down her face, cascading about her shoulders in curls. I could almost picture it, her face against the tree that stood outside her old apartment. Amber against amber, I’d always laughed about that. Now, it was all gone. The tree, its amber, and my amber. Those amber locks turned as she walked away

In the amber a moth held onto its young, kissing or strangling it, though, it was hard to tell. I felt like that about my children sometimes. Mostly the latter. It kind of encouraged giving that gift to my son as he finished his prison term. I didn’t knock his head with it.

You play the banjo in a band with friends watching and dancing along with the music. saturday nights under the stars with beer flowing and laughs echoing. A good ole southern tradition.
» Posted By Alex On 11.26.2009 @ 4:38 pm
hillbilly sat in the hot south drinkin moonshine and chewing tobacco drinking cheap lagar and beating his wife and little inbred kids sounds good though

bob from that 70s show plays it, it is a string instrument and it has a tangy beat to it its similar to a guitar and the guy from the song about the somewhere over the rainbow.. the fat hawaiian guy. Its brown. Also a dog’s name.

I like banjo most in songs that aren’t supposed to have the banjo. Weird, synth-y ska-punk tunes with banjo. Fuck yeah.
» Posted By Alex On 11.26.2009 @ 11:03 am
The banjo is a poor cousin to the guitar family. Its major distinction is being the only way to identify incoming hill-billy rape.

My dad used to be in a garage “banjo” band. They even made it into the newspaper. He still has his banjo, and when I was little, I would get it out and try to play it. It reminds me of country, twangy, annoying songs.

i want to be a tattoo artist. but i have a phobia of needles.
» Posted By alex On 11.25.2009 @ 11:33 am
I’ve never been afraid of needles. I remember in high school, one of my teammates broke her leg on the field. She screamed bloody murder, but her issue wasn’t with the pain of the break, it was with getting a shot. She did NOT want a needle going hear her. I just couldn’t believe that.

Zebras are so glamorous. I can’t really pinpoint the reason for me thinking so. Maybe it has been embedded in my brain from Vouge or other fashion mags. However it happened, I really enjoy the sight of a zebra.
