being blind in china is different because often what you smell is more telling than what you see. and the smells never match what you see, there is a certain blindness that exists whether you can see or not. the death of one's smell would be worse than the loss of one's eyes here.

Obscured in a hazy darkness, with just the delicate slits of the streetlight peeping through, Bill set to work, delicately asembling the camera on its tripod and connecting the hard drive to record the comings and goings of #243 Arcadian Drive. Too late he realised his ankle had caught in the blind string , a frozen moment of impending failure as he entered freefall and tore down his last hope of stealth.

The blind really do get a bad rap, I mean, people tend to think that they are severely disabled, but if you think about it, you don't even use your sight for more than wasting time through much of the day. Try walking through your house without your eyes. You can do it, believe you me, and you get things done faster without shinies to distract you.

Blind is what is put on us when we can't see the truth. It is the thing that causes us to be fearful and sometimes hopeless because of that fear. If we are fearful of the things that we cannot see beacuse we dont know what lies ahead. It's scary, but let's lift the blinders. If we live as if we are unafraid, then the blinders come off naturally.

i saw a blind man the other day on the corner. He couldn't see, of course, but his cane was too short to feel the bottom of the curb. He lobbed around for a bit and finally stooped over enough to find the street below. By the time, he had found the street, he heard the cars whizzing by and he knew he had lost his chance at crossing the street. I went to him and asked him if he needed help. He said, "Hell, no, do I look like I'm blind?"

The lack of sight. It would be difficult to live life blind, especially as I am an established gamer and will be making my living creating games, and thus needing my eyesight (unless of course I go into sound design). Blinds, alternately, prevent your neighbor from seeing you through the window when you are changing. This is good. Nobody wants to see me naked, of course.

Now that is an interesting word. The blind trust infinitely. They put their lives in the hands of dogs and the sound that the earth makes against the tip of a cane. You can't see colors - you can't see light, or the different nuances and shadows that come from light interacting with different surfaces. All you see is darkness - you can only imagine what might be there. Your other senses sharpen - but you can't see the colors.

blind is to be without sight. It is considered a disability, but I see it as possibly being complete insight. Without the use of your eyes you are free to use your imagination to view everything. You can make the world around you as you would like to see it at any given time. There is no limitaions as to how you see the world you live in. Your touch controls your senses of how the world is shaped and it is your imagination alone that colors it.

Blind is the state that one is in when one cannot see, not with ones eyes, but with ones very soul. One does need to have eyes and not be able to see with them to be called blind. One should merely not be able to see things for what they really are to be called blind. 'Blind' has nothing to do with sight, but everything to do with 'seeing' with the inner eye and then acting upon what one has seen. I am blind. Indeed.

Blind people are people who need loving, they are misunderstood. The lack of sight is extremly hard to deal with and because of their lack of sight it can arrouse heightened senses...senses? not taste, sight but love, love.

blind people are very unfortunate due to this diability, but it should not stop them in their life, they should be able to have as good a life as any other person, of course they cannot see but, they can still be very productive. With the use of guide dogs, walking sticks and other devices they can be as mobile and productive as you or I. To be blind from birth would be alot more difficult than going blind midway through life. Because you have no conception of what things look like only what they feel like, whereas people who go blind midway through life do have these previous conceptions, and the visions of objects in their minds.

he had been blind for as long as he could remember. nobody bothered telling him what things looked like, because no matter how much he wanted (or didn't want) to know, he just couldn't remember. the closest thing he had to sight was the flashing of lights behind his curtaining eyelids. but he didn't feel sorry for himself; actually, he felt more sorry for the people around him. they didn't know what it was like to be blind. truly, he couldn't imagine living with sight. all he had ever known was sound and texture and taste and smell. he knew about things by the softness of voice, the loudness of texture. he worked out an entirely new vocabulary of words for things he experienced, and he was convinced that normal people couldn't hear the sorrow in the sunshine or the joy in the pattering raindrops. they couldn't feel the prickling of the air as it passed into their lungs; they couldn't taste the sweet sugars of the piano's keys nor could they hear the gurgling laughter of water as it slipped into their mouths. nobody, he was sure of it, could experience life as he had, so he was sorry....

She was blinded by the bright light around her as she sat in that interrogation chamber. What would they ask her? What would they presume? Her look, her person, her attitude would all play against her. But she didn't know that. All she knew was that she was innocent. She hadn't even been there.

Blind people cannot see which makes them stupid. I dont know any blind people but if I did, I would masterbate on their face. This would amuse me, as even after the splooge hit them, they still would be hard-pressed to know what was going on.

not knowing where to turn, julia felt along the wall, she listened to the floor beneath her shoes. then the lightswitch was at her fingertips, and she clicked it on. blinking as here eyes adjusted, she waited, breath held, for her brain to adjust to the sight of lee in bed with her. she clicked off the light in failure.

Pain like a fire, burnign away. Somehow the future is dark, I am feeling my way. Caterpillars waiting for a transformation which never comes; tomorrow miles azay, and yesterday only a dream. Searing across the sky, the truth you cannot remember in neon letters six feet tall. Why can you not see?

Love is blind, blinded by desire, others are blinded by their beliefs and feelings, or one can be too close to a situation to see beyond it. In politics many people are blind to the other side and refuse to see reason when valid points are made against their argument, so they blindly repeat themselves over and over.

you are blind to my love. Blind to everything I've said. I speak up and you run the other way, when before, I didn't want you to leave my arms. And there really is nothing worse than having to feel this way in front of you. Because you and everyone else can see me. There is no hiding. This is a public hurt..and those are the worst kinds.

Love is a blindfold that eventually gets ripped off like a bandaid, and when you see the object you loved; it is hideous. It does not only not love you back, but that love has become the deepest sort of hatred... absolute repulsion. I have never met such a callous asshole in my whole life... except when I was raped. This man raped my heart. He nurtured my soul with sweetness, then he crushed it with all of his force. And all I wanted was a sanctuary...someone to nurture me. Someone to love who loved me back. I probably surpassed my sixty seconds. so I will submit this now. He thinks that I am crazy and self centered, but he is the one with absolutely no compassion for anyone but himself... Illlustrated by his indifference to my pregnancy. I thought he was perfect; the one for me, but I will never allow myself to be hurt again. I will probably also never be as in love, or, shall I say, Blind.

The lack of sight. If I was blind I'm not sure what I'd do. I guess there's not much to do. You just have to move along day to day without realizing how much you're missing. We don't appreciate everything we see. That's how we decide things... Sight. To be blind would be horrific.

The light shone so brightly that I felt blind. It reflected off of the snow in front of me like the tiles in a hopsital room and I put one foot forward. The snow was hard and slippery after the thaw had refrozen and I lost my balance and fell on my back. My cushiony jacket padded my fall.

she is blind and I'm not but who am I to judge...do I pitty her or is she luckier than I? I think that she is because she doesn't have the judgement on the surface that we "seeers" do. How is one to even know since there is no one to judge us but ourselves. And who is this girl? Maybe she is an angel... maybe I am and I am to grow by the sight of her. Does she know that I am here? Does she know that I am looking? Someone does...someone is whatching me. Maybe I am the one that is blind.

I never got to properly imagine what it was like to be blind. I get cast into the void sometimes, but even then I can still see. And that is the greatest gift of all. Smell is fantastic, touch wonderful, but without my vision, without being able to lay back and take in a vista, wether that be a sunlit beach or the deepest cavern...
